When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.”

大卫知道了扫罗的计谋，便吩咐祭司亚比亚他把以弗得带来，

大闢知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂命祭司亞庇亞塔、攜公服至此、

大衛知掃羅蓄謀害己、即謂祭司亞比亞他曰、攜以弗得至此、

David learned that Saul was planning to attack him. So he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the linen apron.”

David knew that Saul was plotting harm against him. And he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

But David learned of Saul’s plan and told Abiathar the priest to bring the ephod and ask the Lord what he should do.

When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to the priest Abiathar,“ Bring the ephod.”

But David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; so he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

And David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.

When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.”

And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.

When David realized that Saul was planning to harm him, he told Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod!”

David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelek,“ Bring me the ephod.” Abiathar brought it to him,

( Now Abiathar son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)

He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”

But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country,

‘ Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God.”( At that time it was with the Israelites.)

Because the Lord revealed their plot to me, I knew it, for at that time he showed me what they were doing.I had been like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; I did not realize that they had plotted against me, saying,“ Let us destroy the tree and its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.”

But when the son of Paul’s sister heard of this plot, he went into the barracks and told Paul.Then Paul called one of the centurions and said,“ Take this young man to the commander; he has something to tell him.”So he took him to the commander. The centurion said,“ Paul, the prisoner, sent for me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”

But one son of Ahimelek son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled to join David.

but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him.
