娅比盖看见大卫，就赶快从驴子上下来，在大卫面前脸伏于地，向他下拜。娅比盖俯伏在大卫脚前，说：“我主啊，愿这罪责归于我！请容许你的女仆向你说话，求你听女仆的话：

你们应当尊重所有的人，爱弟兄姐妹，敬畏神，尊重君王。

少年走后，大卫从磐石旁边出来，脸伏于地，下拜三次。然后他们彼此亲吻，一起哭泣，大卫哭得尤其厉害。

每个人所当得的，你们都要给他：当得税的，就给他税；当得捐的，就给他捐；当受敬畏的，就敬畏他；当受尊敬的，就尊敬他。

亚伯兰脸伏于地；神又对他说：

扫罗认出大卫的声音，就问：“我儿大卫，这是你的声音吗？”大卫回答：“我主我王啊，是我的声音。”
