David said to his men,“ Each of you strap on your sword!” So they did, and David strapped his on as well. About four hundred men went up with David, while two hundred stayed with the supplies.

David said to his men,“ Each of you put on your swords!” So they did. David put his sword on too. About 400 men went up with David. Two hundred men stayed behind with the supplies.

And David said to his men,“ Every man strap on his sword!” And every man of them strapped on his sword. David also strapped on his sword. And about four hundred men went up after David, while two hundred remained with the baggage.

“ Get your swords!” was David’s reply as he strapped on his own. Then 400 men started off with David, and 200 remained behind to guard their equipment.

He said to his men,“ All of you, put on your swords!” So each man put on his sword, and David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David while two hundred stayed with the supplies.

Then David said to his men,“ Each of you strap on his sword.” So each man strapped on his sword. And David also strapped on his sword, and about four hundred men went up behind David, while two hundred stayed with the baggage.

Then David said to his men,“ Every man gird on his sword.” So every man girded on his sword, and David also girded on his sword. And about four hundred men went with David, and two hundred stayed with the supplies.

And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the baggage.

And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.

于是，大卫和他的部下约六百人就起身离开基伊拉，到处迁徙。有人告诉扫罗，大卫已经逃离基伊拉，扫罗就不下去了。

有热心而无知识，实在不好；脚步急躁的人，难免失足。

人有见识就不轻易发怒；宽恕过犯，是自己的荣耀。

随后大卫因割下扫罗的衣摆而心中自责，就对部下说：“耶和华绝不允许我对耶和华的受膏者我主做这样的事，我绝不对他下手，因为他是耶和华的受膏者。”

不轻易发怒的，好过勇士；控制自己心灵的，胜过攻取城池的人。

各位蒙爱的人哪，不要自己报复，宁可给神的震怒留地步，因为经上记着：“主说：报应在我，我将回报。”不但如此，“如果你的敌人饿了，就给他吃；如果他渴了，就给他喝；因为你这样做，就是把炭火堆在他的头上。”不要被恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

不轻易发怒的，大有聪慧；性情急躁的，高举愚妄。

不可急于出去与人争讼；否则，你的邻人羞辱你时，你最后要怎么做呢？

我亲爱的弟兄们，你们应当知道：每个人都该快快地听，不急于发言、不急于动怒，因为人的愤怒不能成就神的义。

大卫来到那两百个因疲乏不能跟随而留在比梭溪谷的人那里，他们出来迎接大卫和随同他的人。大卫走近他们，向他们问安。与大卫一起去的人中，所有的恶人和卑劣之徒都议论说：“既然他们没有与我们一起去，就不要把我们夺取的战利品分给他们。只让他们把各自的妻子、儿女带走。”但大卫说：“我的兄弟们，你们不可这样处理耶和华所赐给我们的，他保守了我们，把那些来攻击我们的匪徒交在我们手中。关于这事，谁会听你们的呢？出战的人怎样得份，留下看守辎重的人也怎样得份，要同等分配。”

于是大卫和随同他的六百人出发了。他们来到比梭溪谷，那些跟不上的就留了下来。大卫和四百人继续追赶，那两百个因疲乏不能渡过比梭溪谷的人就留在那里。
