爾不聽耶和華命、成其烈怒於亞瑪力、故今日耶和華以此加諸爾、

爾不遵耶和華命、其怒亞馬力人爾不雪其恨、故迄今日、致有此事。

緣爾不遵主命、不循主之烈怒以滅亞瑪力人、故今日主待爾若此、

Because you did not obey the Lord or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites, the Lord has done this to you today.

You didn’t obey the Lord. You didn’t show his great anger against the Amalekites by destroying them. So he’s punishing you today.

Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

The Lord has done this to you today because you refused to carry out his fierce anger against the Amalekites.

You did not obey the LORD and did not carry out his burning anger against Amalek; therefore the LORD has done this to you today.

Just as you did not obey the Lord and did not execute His fierce wrath on Amalek, so the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

Because thou obeyedst not the voice of Jehovah, and didst not execute his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath Jehovah done this thing unto thee this day.

You did not obey the Lord and did not carry out His burning anger against Amalek; therefore the Lord has done this to you today.

Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.

Since you did not obey the LORD and did not carry out his fierce anger against the Amalekites, the LORD has done this thing to you today.

Because you didn’t obey Yahweh’s voice, and didn’t execute his fierce wrath on Amalek, therefore Yahweh has done this thing to you today.

He said to the king,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You have set free a man I had determined should die. Therefore it is your life for his life, your people for his people.’” (niv)

But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs— everything that was good. These they were unwilling to destroy completely, but everything that was despised and weak they totally destroyed. (niv)

“ A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the Lord’s work! A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed! (niv)

So he said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering. (niv)

“ But I did obey the Lord,” Saul said.“ I went on the mission the Lord assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king. (niv)

When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.“ Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you: (niv)

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them.Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord.”But Samuel said to him,“ I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel!” (niv)

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, (niv)
