and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down,

The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was.

Samuel was lying down in the Lord’ s house. That’s where the ark of God was kept. The lamp of God was still burning.

Before the lamp of God had gone out, Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was located.

and God’s lamp hadn’t yet gone out, and Samuel had laid down in Yahweh’s temple where God’s ark was,

“ Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning before the Lord continually; it shall be a statute forever in your generations.He shall be in charge of the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.

“ And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.

But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says,“ Glory!”

And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb.

“ Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.

And they burn to the Lord every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense; they also set the showbread in order on the pure gold table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps to burn every evening; for we keep the command of the Lord our God, but you have forsaken Him.
