When David reached Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the Lord’s enemies.”

David reached Ziklag. He sent some of the goods to the elders of Judah. They were his friends. He said,“ Here’s a gift for you. It’s part of the things we took from the Lord’ s enemies.”

When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.”

When he arrived at Ziklag, David sent part of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends.“ Here is a present for you, taken from the Lord’s enemies,” he said.

When David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the LORD’s enemies.”

因此，我想必須鼓勵那幾位弟兄先到你們那裏去，把從前所應許的捐款預備妥當，好顯出你們所捐的是出於樂意，不是出於勉強。

人的禮物為他開路，引他到高位的人面前。先訴情由的，似乎有理；另一人來到，就察出實情。掣籤能止息紛爭，也能化解雙方激烈的爭辯。被冒犯的弟兄強如難以攻下的堅城；紛爭如同城堡的門閂。人的肚腹必因口所結的果實飽足；他必因嘴唇所出的感到滿足。生死在舌頭的掌握之下，喜愛弄舌的，必吃它所結的果實。得着妻子的，得着好處，他是蒙了耶和華的恩惠。窮乏人說哀求的話；有錢人卻用威嚇的話回答。朋友太多的人，必受損害；但有一知己比兄弟更親密。

你已經升上高天，擄掠了俘虜；你在人間，就是在悖逆的人中，受了供獻，使耶和華神可以與他們同住。

乃縵帶着所有跟隨他的人，回到神人那裏，站在他面前，說：「看哪，我知道，除了以色列，全地沒有神。現在請你收下僕人的禮物。」

君子卻圖謀高尚的事，他必因高尚的事站立得穩。

以下是大衛因基士的兒子掃羅的緣故被放逐到洗革拉的時候，到他那裏幫助他打仗的勇士；他們是弓箭手，能左右甩石，開弓射箭，都是便雅憫人掃羅同族的弟兄：為首的是亞希以謝，其次是約阿施，都是基比亞人示瑪的兒子。還有亞斯瑪威的兒子耶薛和毗力，比拉迦，亞拿突人耶戶，基遍人以實買雅，他在三十人中是勇士，管理這三十人，又有耶利米，雅哈悉，約哈難，基底拉人約撒拔，伊利烏賽，耶利末，比亞利雅，示瑪利雅，哈律弗人示法提雅，可拉人以利加拿、耶西亞、亞薩列、約以謝、雅朔班，基多人耶羅罕的兒子猶拉和西巴第雅。迦得人中有人到曠野的山寨投奔大衛，都是大能的勇士，能拿盾牌和槍的戰士。他們的面貌好像獅子，敏捷如山上的鹿。第一以薛，第二俄巴底雅，第三以利押，第四彌施瑪拿，第五耶利米，第六亞太，第七以利業，第八約哈難，第九以利薩巴，第十耶利米，第十一末巴奈。這些都是迦得人中的軍官，小的能抵一百人，大的能抵一千人。正月，約旦河水漲過兩岸的時候，他們過河，使所有住河谷的人東奔西逃。
