So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him,“ Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

and David inquired of the Lord,“ Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”“ Pursue them,” he answered.“ You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”

David asked the Lord for advice. He said,“ Should I chase after the men who attacked Ziklag? If I do, will I catch up with them?”“ Chase after them,” the Lord answered.“ You will certainly catch up with them. You will succeed in saving those who were captured.”

And David inquired of the Lord,“ Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him,“ Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”

Then David asked the Lord,“ Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him,“ Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”

and David asked the LORD,“ Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” The LORD replied to him,“ Pursue them, for you will certainly overtake them and rescue the people.”

And David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I pursue this band of raiders? Will I overtake them?” And He said to him,“ Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them, and you will certainly rescue everyone.”

And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, If I pursue after this troop, shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for thou shalt surely overtake them, and shalt without fail recover all.

and David asked the Lord:“ Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” The Lord replied to him,“ Pursue them, for you will certainly overtake them and rescue the people.”

And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake[ them], and without fail recover[ all].

David inquired of the LORD, saying,“ Should I pursue this raiding band? Will I overtake them?” He said to him,“ Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them and carry out a rescue!”

David inquired of Yahweh, saying,“ If I pursue after this troop, will I overtake them?” He answered him,“ Pursue; for you will surely overtake them, and will without fail recover all.”

So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.

Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said,“ You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.

So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

Then David inquired of the Lord once again. And the Lord answered him and said,“ Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and asked counsel of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the Lord said,“ Go up against him.”

Then David said,“ O Lord God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O Lord God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant.” And the Lord said,“ He will come down.”Then David said,“ Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the Lord said,“ They will deliver you.”

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him— all the congregation.”

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying,“ Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the Lord said,“ Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.

Then the children of Israel arose and went up to the house of God to inquire of God. They said,“ Which of us shall go up first to battle against the children of Benjamin?” The Lord said,“ Judah first!”

Now Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” And Saul answered,“ I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do.”Then Samuel said:“ So why do you ask me, seeing the Lord has departed from you and has become your enemy?

So Saul asked counsel of God,“ Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will You deliver them into the hand of Israel?” But He did not answer him that day.
