just as you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children,

你们也晓得，我们怎样劝勉你们，安慰你们，嘱咐你们各人，好像父亲待自己的儿女一样，

正如你们知道，我们待你们好像父亲待自己的儿女一样。

正如你们知道，我们待你们好像父亲待自己的儿女一样。

你们也知道，我们对待你们就像父亲对待自己的孩子一样。

正如你们知道的，我们是怎样好像父亲对待儿女一样对待你们各人：

正如你们知道我们怎样待你们每一个人，就像父亲待自己的儿女那样；

你們也曉得，我們怎樣勸勉你們，安慰你們，囑咐你們各人，好像父親待自己的兒女一樣，

正如你們知道，我們待你們好像父親待自己的兒女一樣。

正如你們知道，我們待你們好像父親待自己的兒女一樣。

你們也知道，我們對待你們就像父親對待自己的孩子一樣。

正如你們知道的，我們是怎樣好像父親對待兒女一樣對待你們各人：

你們也知道、我們怎樣待你們每一個人，就像父親待自己的兒女一般：既勸勉着你們，又撫慰又誓求着你們，

正如你們知道我們怎樣待你們每一個人，就像父親待自己的兒女那樣；

爾亦知我儕如何視爾各人、猶父之於子、勸勉、安慰、指證、

爾知我勸慰、丁寧爾眾、猶父之勵厥子、

爾亦知我儕勤勉安慰爾中各人、如父於子然、

蓋爾等固知我等待爾人人、一如為父者之待其子、獎掖慰勉、耳提面命、

For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,

You know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

For you know how, like a father with his children,

And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

As you know, like a father with his own children,

as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children,

as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging you, and testifying,

As you know, like a father with his own children,

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father[ doth] his children,

As you know, we treated each one of you as a father treats his own children,

As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,

I do not write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

I solemnly exhort you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality.

Finally then, brothers and sisters, we request and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received instruction from us as to how you ought to walk and please God( just as you actually do walk), that you excel even more.

I solemnly exhort you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.

But we proved to be gentle among you. As a nursing mother tenderly cares for her own children,

“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, the time for you to die is near; call Joshua and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, and I will commission him.” So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.

Then David said to his son Solomon,“ Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.

Listen, my sons, to the instruction of a father, And pay attention so that you may gain understanding,For I give you good teaching; Do not abandon my instruction.When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son in the sight of my mother,He taught me and said to me,“ Let your heart take hold of my words; Keep my commandments and live;Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.Do not abandon her, and she will guard you; Love her, and she will watch over you.The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your possessions, acquire understanding.Prize her, and she will exalt you; She will honor you if you embrace her.She will place on your head a garland of grace; She will present you with a crown of beauty.”Listen, my son, and accept my sayings, And the years of your life will be many.I have instructed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths.When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; And if you run, you will not stumble.

The words of King Lemuel, the pronouncement which his mother taught him:What, my son? And what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?Do not give your strength to women, Or your ways to that which destroys kings.It is not for kings, Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Or for rulers to desire intoxicating drink,Otherwise they will drink and forget what is decreed, And pervert the rights of all the needy.Give intoxicating drink to one who is perishing, And wine to one whose life is bitter.Let him drink and forget his poverty, And remember his trouble no more.Open your mouth for the people who cannot speak, For the rights of all the unfortunate.Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.

Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, And pay attention to the words of my mouth.

I direct you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

My son, do not walk on the way with them. Keep your feet from their path,

Likewise urge the young men to be sensible;

So they sent instructions to Joseph, saying,“ Your father commanded us before he died, saying,‘ This is what you shall say to Joseph:“ Please forgive, I beg you, the offense of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.” ’ And now, please forgive the offense of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Now we command and exhort such persons in the Lord Jesus Christ to work peacefully and eat their own bread.

But commission Joshua and encourage him and strengthen him, for he shall go across leading this people, and he will give to them, as an inheritance, the land which you will see.’

Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brothers or sisters, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles.

So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds,

Now, my son, the Lord be with you that you may be successful, and build the house of the Lord your God just as He has spoken concerning you.Only the Lord give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the Law of the Lord your God.Then you will prosper, if you are careful to follow the statutes and the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous, do not fear nor be dismayed.

My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you,

My son, do not forget my teaching, But have your heart comply with my commandments;

Give these instructions as well, so that they may be above reproach.

My son, keep my words And treasure my commandments within you.

Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative,

My son, if you have become a guarantor for your neighbor, Or have given a handshake for a stranger,

My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom, Incline your ear to my understanding,So that you may maintain discretion And your lips may comply with knowledge.

When he had gone through those regions and had given them much encouragement, he came to Greece.

But I urge you, brothers and sisters, listen patiently to this word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.

These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. No one is to disregard you.
