For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

上帝只有一位，在上帝和人類之間只有一位中保，就是降世為人的基督耶穌。

要知道，神只有一位，在神和人之間的中保也只有一位，就是成為人的基督耶穌；

蓋上帝惟一、上帝與人之間、中保亦惟一、是亦人也、即基督耶穌也、

上帝惟一、有上帝、有世人、其間中保亦惟一、基督耶穌即其人也、

蓋天主惟一、在天主世人之間、中保亦惟一、即降世為人之基督耶穌、

夫天主一而已矣、而介居天主與人之間者、亦一而已矣、則基督耶穌其人也。

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

There is only one God. And there is only one go- between for God and human beings. He is the man Christ Jesus.

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity— the man Christ Jesus.

Now a mediator is not just for one person alone, but God is one.

yet for us there is one God, the Father. All things are from him, and we exist for him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through him, and we exist through him.

“ Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.

This is what the LORD, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the LORD of Armies, says: I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me.

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.Instead he emptied himself by assuming the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity. And when he had come as a man,he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross.

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

But the angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people:Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.

since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him.

This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent— Jesus Christ.

and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which says better things than the blood of Abel.

But someone somewhere has testified: What is man that you remember him, or the son of man that you care for him?You made him lower than the angels for a short time; you crowned him with glory and honorand subjected everything under his feet. For in subjecting everything to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him.But we do see Jesus— made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death for everyone— crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God— for whom and through whom all things exist— should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying: I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will sing hymns to you in the congregation.Again, I will trust in him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.

and among the lampstands was one like the Son of Man, dressed in a robe and with a golden sash wrapped around his chest.

See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated“ God is with us.”

There is no mediator between us, to lay his hand on both of us.

Jesus answered,“ The most important is Listen, Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.The second is, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these.”Then the scribe said to him,“ You are right, teacher. You have correctly said that he is one, and there is no one else except him.And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is far more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

About eating food sacrificed to idols, then, we know that“ an idol is nothing in the world,” and that“ there is no God but one.”

But Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree he is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been established on better promises.

one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
