我願你們一無掛慮。沒有結婚的、掛慮主的事、要怎樣給主喜歡；

從前寄望於上帝的聖別婦人也是這樣自己妝飾，順服她們自己的丈夫。

一個男信徒或女信徒若有寡婦親戚，他或她應當濟助她們，別讓教會負重擔了，好使教會能濟助那些真做寡婦的。

耶穌對他們講一個比喻，論到人應當堅持禱告，不可喪志。

你們中間誰是敬畏永恆主、聽從他僕人之話的？誰是在黑暗中行，沒有亮光的、讓他倚靠永恆主的名，依賴他自己的上帝吧。

那時你心裏必說：「我既喪子，又不能孕育，又是被擄、被放逐於外的，誰給我生了這些孩子呢？誰將這些孩子養大呢？看哪，我被剩下、獨自一人：這些孩子從哪兒來呢？」』

『看哪，上帝是拯救我的；我要倚靠，我不懼怕；因為永恆主是我的力量，我的詩歌，也成了拯救我的。』

『他從高天降火，使火下我骨頭；他鋪下網子來絆我的腳，使我退後；他使我淒涼，終日發暈。

錫安的城門必憂傷悲哀；被蹂躪得淨光；錫安必一敗塗地。

上帝揀選的人晝夜向他喊救，他縱然在他們的事上延持着，難道總不給他們伸冤麼？

『不能生育、沒生養過的啊，歡呼哦！沒受過產痛的啊，爆發歡呼聲，而尖聲高喊哦！因為淒涼獨居者的兒女比有丈夫者的兒女還多：這是永恆主說的。

藉着各樣的禱告和祈求、時時刻刻用心靈祈禱；以十二分的恆心專在這事上覺醒着，為眾聖徒祈求，

這應許、我們十二個支派晝夜熱切地事奉上帝、都指望得到的。王啊，我被猶太人控告的、正是為了這個指望。

他用他自己的翎翼掩護着你；你避難於他的翅膀底下；他的忠信乃是盾牌圓楯。

願永恆主照你所行的賞報你；你來避難於永恆主以色列之上帝的翅膀下，願你滿得他的賞賜。』

心就分了。沒有結婚的婦人和處女、掛慮主的事、要在身體和心靈上奉獻為聖；已經結婚的、掛慮世界的事、要怎樣給丈夫喜歡。

這就是說：我願在你們中間，藉着你我彼此間的信心，我們都可以同得鼓勵。

至於他的事、人所不能見的——他永久的能力及神性——從世界之創立以來，又是藉着他所造之物以被了悟而看清楚，使人無可推諉。因為他們雖然認識上帝，卻不看他為上帝而榮耀他，也不感謝他，反倒在思想上成為虛妄，他們蒙昧的心就昏暗了。

藉着他、我們領受了恩惠和使徒的職分，要為他的名在眾外國中推廣信仰上的聽從；
