大衛在大衛城為自己建造宮殿，又為神的約櫃預備地方，就是為它支搭帳幕。

直到我為耶和華找著一個地方，為雅各的大能者找到居所。”我們聽說約櫃在以法他；我們在雅珥的田間找到它。

於是大衛把以色列眾人，從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口，都招聚來，要把神的約櫃從基列．耶琳運來。大衛和以色列眾人去到巴拉，就是屬猶大的基列．耶琳，要從那裡把神的約櫃運回來；這約櫃是以坐在二基路伯上面的耶和華而起名的。
