O Lord God, please continue to keep your promise to David my father, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth!

Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth.

Lord God, let the promise you gave to my father David come true. You have made me king. My people are as many as the dust of the earth. They can’t be counted.

O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong.He is the one who will build a house— a temple— for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever.I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight.Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”

And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted!

The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back:“ I will place one of your descendants on your throne.If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and the laws that I teach them, then your royal line will continue forever and ever.”

I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies.

I have sworn an oath to David, and in my holiness I cannot lie:His dynasty will go on forever; his kingdom will endure as the sun.It will be as eternal as the moon, my faithful witness in the sky!” Interlude

He said to me,‘ Your son Solomon will build my Temple and its courtyards, for I have chosen him as my son, and I will be his father.And if he continues to obey my commands and regulations as he does now, I will make his kingdom last forever.’

Who can count Jacob’s descendants, as numerous as dust? Who can count even a fourth of Israel’s people? Let me die like the righteous; let my life end like theirs.”

“ And now, O Lord God, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever.And may your name be honored forever so that everyone will say,‘ The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is God over Israel!’ And may the house of your servant David continue before you forever.“ O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, God of Israel, I have been bold enough to pray this prayer to you because you have revealed all this to your servant, saying,‘ I will build a house for you— a dynasty of kings!’For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant.And now, may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you have spoken, and when you grant a blessing to your servant, O Sovereign Lord, it is an eternal blessing!”

And you have promised these good things to your servant.And now, it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, so that it will continue forever before you. For when you grant a blessing, O Lord, it is an eternal blessing!”

“ Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!
