我賜爾以權、可踐蛇蠍、與制敵諸能、必無害爾者、

又曰、斯民眾多、爾乃弛其負擔、是日法老諭民之督工者、與其有司曰、厥後斯民陶瓦、勿如疇昔給之以草、使往自斂、所陶之瓦、其數如前、毋容少減、彼惰、故號呼曰、容我往祭我之上帝、當重其役、使之辛勞、不聽浮言、○

有尾似蠍、亦有蠆、其權在尾、傷人五月、

我心溫柔謙遜、宜負我軛而學我、則爾心獲安、

是時爾必因所簡之王而呼籲、惟耶和華不俞允焉、

遂嚴督其役、使之作苦、以勞其生、和泥、陶瓦、力田、所服之役、無不以嚴、○

然不許殺之、祇令其痛苦五月、如蠍螫之痛苦然、

我所選之禁食、豈非釋凶惡之索、解人之負、縱受屈者自逸、而折諸軛乎、

昔我震怒我民、玷污我業、付於爾手、爾不之恤、以爾重軛加於耆老、

有蝗自煙出於地、且予之權如地之蠍然、

往告哈拿尼雅云、耶和華曰、爾折木軛、乃製鐵軛以代之、蓋萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝曰、我置鐵軛於列邦之項、使其服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、彼必事之、我亦以田野之畜錫之、
