So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is just.”

The king and the leaders of Israel made themselves humble in the Lord’ s sight. They said,“ The Lord does what is right and fair.”

Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

Then the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is right in doing this to us!”

So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The LORD is righteous.”

So the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous.

So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ Yahweh is righteous.”

Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD[ is] righteous.

And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them,“ I have sinned this time. The Lord is righteous, and my people and I are wicked.

Therefore the Lord has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice.

“ When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is;whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple:then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know( for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men),

“ The Lord is righteous, For I rebelled against His commandment. Hear now, all peoples, And behold my sorrow; My virgins and my young men Have gone into captivity.

The Lord is righteous; He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked.

And he did not humble himself before the Lord, as his father Manasseh had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.

Hear and give ear: Do not be proud, For the Lord has spoken.

‘ But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me,and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt—

Say to the king and to the queen mother,“ Humble yourselves; Sit down, For your rule shall collapse, the crown of your glory.”

Then he looks at men and says,‘ I have sinned, and perverted what was right, And it did not profit me.’

When He slew them, then they sought Him; And they returned and sought earnestly for God.Then they remembered that God was their rock, And the Most High God their Redeemer.

“ But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.

So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him,“ Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

They have not been humbled, to this day, nor have they feared; they have not walked in My law or in My statutes that I set before you and your fathers.’

Also his prayer and how God received his entreaty, and all his sin and trespass, and the sites where he built high places and set up wooden images and carved images, before he was humbled, indeed they are written among the sayings of Hozai.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”

And Adoni-Bezek said,“ Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me.” Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
