我們的上帝耶和華啊！在你以外曾有別的主人管轄我們，但我們只尊崇你的名。

如果你們在富足時不心甘情願地事奉你們的上帝耶和華，你們必失去所有，饑餓乾渴、赤身裸體地侍奉耶和華派來攻擊你們的敵人。祂要把鐵軛加在你們的頸上，直到消滅你們。

儘管他們在各國賄買盟友，如今我卻要把他們聚集起來，審判他們。他們必因君王和首領的欺壓而日漸衰微。

今天，我們淪為奴隸，在你賜給我們祖先的土地上，在你讓我們祖先享用其出產和各樣美物的土地上，我們淪為奴隸。

耶和華啊，求你公正地懲罰我，不要帶著怒氣懲罰我，否則我將不復存在。

耶和華為了考驗那些沒有經歷過迦南戰事的以色列人，讓他們學習作戰，就留下了以下各族：
