到了第七次，祭司吹角的時候，約書亞吩咐百姓說：「呼喊吧，因為耶和華已經把城交給你們了！

耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來一看，都是死屍了。

我和一切跟隨我的人吹角的時候，你們也要在營的四圍吹角，喊叫說：『耶和華和基甸的刀！』」基甸和跟隨他的一百人，在三更之初才換更的時候，來到營旁，就吹角，打破手中的瓶。三隊的人就都吹角，打破瓶子，左手拿着火把，右手拿着角，喊叫說：「耶和華和基甸的刀！」他們在營的四圍各站各的地方；全營的人都亂竄。三百人吶喊，使他們逃跑。三百人就吹角，耶和華使全營的人用刀互相擊殺，逃到西利拉的伯‧哈示他，直逃到靠近他巴的亞伯‧米何拉。

願敬畏耶和華的說：他的慈愛永遠長存！我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我，把我安置在寬闊之地。有耶和華幫助我，我必不懼怕，人能把我怎麼樣呢？在那幫助我的人中，有耶和華幫助我，所以我要看見那恨我的人遭報。

耶和華使西西拉和他一切車輛全軍潰亂，在巴拉面前被刀殺敗；西西拉下車步行逃跑。

約沙法既與民商議了，就設立歌唱的人，頌讚耶和華，使他們穿上聖潔的禮服，走在軍前讚美耶和華說：「當稱謝耶和華，因他的慈愛永遠長存！」

亞蘭王的元帥乃縵在他主人面前為尊為大，因耶和華曾藉他使亞蘭人得勝；他又是大能的勇士，只是長了大痲瘋。

萬民哪，你們都要拍掌！要用誇勝的聲音向神呼喊！

耶和華將他們交在以色列人手裏，以色列人就擊殺他們，追趕他們到西頓大城，到米斯利弗‧瑪音，直到東邊米斯巴的平原，將他們擊殺，沒有留下一個。

就是耶和華在以色列會眾前面所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地，你僕人也有牲畜」；
