Whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel would be put to death, young or old, man or woman.

All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

All those who wouldn’t obey the Lord, the God of Israel, would be killed. It wouldn’t matter how important they were. It wouldn’t matter whether they were men or women.

but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.

They agreed that anyone who refused to seek the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death— whether young or old, man or woman.

and whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel was to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

“ Whoever sacrifices to any gods, except the LORD alone, is to be set apart for destruction.

he will bless those who fear the LORD— small and great alike.

Then Elijah ordered them,“ Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let even one of them escape.” So they seized them, and Elijah brought them down to the Wadi Kishon and slaughtered them there.

That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the LORD your God has commanded you to walk. Show him no pity, and do not spare him or shield him.Instead, you must kill him. Your hand is to be the first against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people.Stone him to death for trying to turn you away from the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.All Israel will hear and be afraid, and they will no longer do anything evil like this among you.“ If you hear it said about one of your cities the LORD your God is giving you to live in,that wicked men have sprung up among you, led the inhabitants of their city astray, and said,‘ Let’s go and worship other gods,’ which you have not known,you are to inquire, investigate, and interrogate thoroughly. If the report turns out to be true that this detestable act has been done among you,you must strike down the inhabitants of that city with the sword. Completely destroy everyone in it as well as its livestock with the sword.

Be sure there is no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Be sure there is no root among you bearing poisonous and bitter fruit.

“ If a man or woman among you in one of your towns that the LORD your God will give you is discovered doing evil in the sight of the LORD your God and violating his covenantand has gone to serve other gods by bowing in worship to the sun, moon, or all the stars in the sky— which I have forbidden—and if you are told or hear about it, then investigate it thoroughly. If the report turns out to be true that this detestable act has been done in Israel,you are to bring out to your city gates that man or woman who has done this evil thing and stone them to death.

To this very day, I have had help from God, and I stand and testify to both small and great, saying nothing other than what the prophets and Moses said would take place—

I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.

God is not partial to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands.

Now at midnight the LORD struck every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon, and every firstborn of the livestock.

Both small and great are there, and the slave is set free from his master.

They struck the men who were at the entrance of the house, both young and old, with blindness so that they were unable to find the entrance.

Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
