All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.

All the people of Judah were happy about the promise they had made. They turned to God with all their heart. When they did, they found him. So the Lord gave them peace and rest on every side.

他對猶大人說：『我們要修造這些城，讓四圍有牆，有譙樓，有門，有閂；地還在我們手下，因為我們尋求永恆主我們的上帝；我們既尋求他，他就使我們四面平靜。』於是他們就修造，而且很順利。

但他們在急難時候回轉來歸向永恆主以色列的上帝，尋求他，他就給他們尋見。

他們入了約，要全心全意尋求永恆主他們列祖的上帝；

我們所誇耀的是這一點：我們良知的明證指出我們在世界上之起居為人、是怎樣本着上帝所賜的聖善和純潔，不是本着屬肉體的智慧，乃是本着上帝的恩；對於你們、更是如此。

為了上帝為人民所整備的、希西家和眾民都歡喜快樂這件事這麼意外迅速地作成了。

耶何耶大使眾民和王與自己之間立了約，要做永恆主的人民。於是眾民都到巴力廟、將廟拆毁；將他的壇和像打碎；又在祭壇前將巴力的祭司馬坦殺死。耶何耶大就派官來看守永恆主的殿，在祭司利未人手下；這些祭司利未人是大衛所分派來負責永恆主的殿，按摩西律法上所寫的給永恆主獻上燔祭，又照大衛所手定的來歡樂歌唱的。耶何耶大又設立了守門的來把守永恆主之殿的各門；所以無論為了甚麼事而不潔淨的人都不得進去。他又率領了百夫長、貴顯的人、民間的官長、以及國中眾民；他們請王從永恆主的殿下來；他們由上門中進入王宮，就使王坐了國位。國中眾民全都歡喜快樂，合城也都平靜；人已經將亞他利雅用刀殺死了。

我不是在隱密處、在黑暗之地的所在說話的；我並不是對雅各的後裔說：「你們要空空虛虛以尋求我」呀；我永恆主是講義理，是宣揚正直的。

我被困迫於兩難之間，一方面切願着撤離世間、去和基督同在，那更好得多；

他若靜止不動，誰能嫌他不對呢？他若掩面，誰能見他呢？無論對國對人都是一樣；

你要因永恆主你的上帝所賜給你和你家的一切福分而歡樂，你和利未人、以及在你中間的寄居者、都要歡樂。

哦，永恆主啊，我們等候你審判的路徑；你的名和稱號是我們心裏所羨慕的。

現在我心中有意思要和永恆主以色列的上帝立約，好使他的烈怒轉離了我們。

永恆主使以色列人得享平靜、沒有受四圍任何仇敵的騷擾。過了許多年日，約書亞也老邁，上了年紀；

都被打得支離破碎：這國攻擊那國，這城攻擊那城；因為上帝用各樣災難使他們紛亂。

亞撒利雅就出來和亞撒見面，對他說：『亞撒和猶大便雅憫眾人哪，請聽我的話！儘你們和永恆主同在時，永恆主就和你們同在。你們若尋求他，他就給你們尋見；你們若離棄他，他就離棄你們。

做省長的尼希米、和做祭司的經學士以斯拉、跟教導人民的利未人、對眾民說：『今天是永恆主你們的上帝的聖日；你們不要悲哀哭泣』；這是因為眾民聽見律法書上的話、都哭了。

她的道路是愉快之道路，她的路徑全是安康興隆。

義人哪，你們要因永恆主而歡喜快樂；心裏正直的人哪，你們都要歡呼。

你公義的典章、我曾起誓遵守；我堅定要照誓言而行。

我以你的法度為我永遠的產業；因為這是我心中所喜悅的。
