Therefore I will save you no more.Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them save you in the time of your distress!”The children of Israel said to Yahweh,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”They put away the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.

Isaiah is very bold and says,“ I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”

Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin.Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him,“ Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls.Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands,‘ Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.”

When the children of Israel cried to Yahweh, Yahweh raised up a savior to the children of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.Yahweh’s Spirit came on him, and he judged Israel; and he went out to war, and Yahweh delivered Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand. His hand prevailed against Cushan Rishathaim.
