然王自國中除諸亞舍拉、盡心尋求天主、王此事猶可謂善、

There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God.”

But there’s some good in you. You have removed all the poles in the land used to worship the female god named Asherah. And you have worshiped God with all your heart.”

Nevertheless, some good is found in you, for you destroyed the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.”

Even so, there is some good in you, for you have removed the Asherah poles throughout the land, and you have committed yourself to seeking God.”

However, some good is found in you, for you have eradicated the Asherah poles from the land and have determined in your heart to seek God.”

But there is some good in you, for you have removed the Asheroth from the land and you have set your heart to seek God.”

Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”

王既自己謙卑，永恆主的怒氣就轉消，不將他滅盡。而且在猶大中還有良好的現象。

因為以斯拉立定了心意研究永恆主的律法而遵行它，又在以色列中教授了律例和典章。

以色列眾人必為他舉哀，將他埋葬；因為屬耶羅波安的人、惟有他得入墳墓，因為在耶羅波安家中、只見他對永恆主以色列的上帝、有可喜悅之處。

羅波安行了壞事，因為他不立定心意尋求永恆主。

我的心堅定，上帝啊，我的心堅定；我要歌頌，我要唱揚。

我知道在我裏面、就是在我肉體之中、沒有善住着；因為志願呢、我雖有，把善作出來呢、我卻不能。

永恆主和約沙法同在，因為他行了他父親初行的道路，不尋求眾巴力，只尋求他父親的上帝，遵行上帝的誡命，不效法以色列人的作風而行。故此永恆主就堅立他手下的國；猶大眾人也給約沙法獻禮物；約沙法遂大有財富和尊榮。在永恆主的道路上他的心志很振奮；他還從猶大地除掉了邱壇和亞舍拉神木。
