今彼來以惡報我儕、欲逐我於主所賜我為業之地、

See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance.

See how they are paying us back. They are coming to drive us out. They want to take over the land you gave us as our share.

behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.

Now see how they reward us! For they have come to throw us out of your land, which you gave us as an inheritance.

他們同謀奸詐要害你的百姓，彼此商議要害你所保護的人。他們說：「來吧，我們將他們除滅，使他們不再成國！使以色列的名不再被人記念！」他們同心商議，彼此結盟，要抵擋你；他們就是住帳棚的以東和以實瑪利人，摩押和夏甲人，迦巴勒、亞捫、亞瑪力、非利士和推羅的居民。亞述也與他們聯合，作羅得子孫的幫手。（細拉）求你待他們，如待米甸，如在基順河待西西拉和耶賓一樣。他們在隱‧多珥滅亡，成了地上的糞土。求你使他們的貴族像俄立和西伊伯，使他們的王子都像西巴和撒慕拿。因為他們說：「我們要得上帝的住處，作自己的產業。」

他們出城走了不遠，約瑟對管家說：「起來，去追那些人，追上了就對他們說：『你們為甚麼以惡報善呢？

我若以惡回報我的朋友，連那無故與我為敵的，我也救了他，

他們向我以惡報善，使我喪失兒子。

以惡報善的，禍患必不離他的家。

耶和華－以色列的上帝如今從他百姓以色列面前趕出亞摩利人，你竟要佔領它嗎？你不是已經得了你的神明基抹賜給你的地為業嗎？耶和華－我們的上帝在我們面前所趕出的，我們也要得它為業。

人豈可以惡報善呢？他們竟挖坑要害我的性命！求你記念我站在你面前為他們說好話，要使你的憤怒轉離他們。
