So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value— more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.

那時，他們彼此說：「我們所做的不對了！這一天是有好消息的日子，我們竟不作聲！若等到天亮，我們就有罪了。現在，來，我們去向王室報信吧！」他們就去叫守城門的人，告訴他們說：「我們到了亞蘭人的軍營，看哪，沒有一人在那裏，也無人聲，只有拴着的馬和驢，帳棚都留在原處。」守城門的人就呼叫，他們向城內的王室報信。王夜間起來，對臣僕說：「我告訴你們亞蘭人向我們做的事。他們知道我們飢餓，所以離營，埋伏在田野，說：『以色列人出城的時候，我們活捉他們，我們就可以進到城裏去。』」王的一個臣僕回答說：「不如叫人從城裏剩下的馬中取五匹，看哪，這些馬像以色列大眾一樣，快要滅亡了；我們派人去窺探吧！」於是他們取了兩輛車和馬，王派人去跟蹤亞蘭人的軍隊，說：「你們去窺探吧。」他們去跟蹤亞蘭人，直到約旦河。看哪，整條路上都是亞蘭人匆忙逃跑時所丟棄的衣服和器具，使者就回來向王報告。百姓就出去，擄掠亞蘭人的軍營。於是一細亞細麵只賣一舍客勒，二細亞大麥也賣一舍客勒，正如耶和華所說的。

凡亞瑪力人所擄去的，無論大小、兒女、掠物和一切被擄去的，大衛全都奪回來。大衛所奪來的牛羣羊羣，有人趕在羣畜前面，說：「這是大衛的掠物。」

每一個婦女必向她的鄰舍，以及寄居在她家裏的女人，索取金器、銀器和衣裳，給你們的兒女穿戴。這樣你們就掠奪了埃及人。」

摩西對他們說：「你們要讓這所有的婦女活着嗎？

「統領大軍的君王逃跑了，逃跑了！」在家等候的婦女也分得了掠物。

比寶石更寶貴，你一切所喜愛的，都不足與其比較。

以色列人照摩西的話去做，向埃及人索取金器、銀器和衣裳。耶和華使埃及人看得起他的百姓，埃及人就給了他們所要的。他們就掠奪了埃及人。

然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上，我們已經得勝有餘了。
