乃是走以色列諸王的路，使猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民變節去服事別的神，像亞哈家使以色列人變了節一樣；你並且殺死了你父親家裏比你好的眾兄弟；

乃從以色列列王之道、使猶大人及耶路撒冷居民狥欲、如亞哈家然、又戮爾父家諸弟、愈於爾者、

乃效以色列列王尤、使猶大族、耶路撒冷民、狥私欲、拜偶像、與亞哈家無異、亦因爾殺愈己之昆弟、

乃效以色列列王之所為、使猶大人與耶路撒冷居民行邪、與亞哈家無異、又在爾父家殺愈爾之諸弟、

But you have followed the ways of the kings of Israel, and you have led Judah and the people of Jerusalem to prostitute themselves, just as the house of Ahab did. You have also murdered your own brothers, members of your own family, men who were better than you.

Instead, you have followed the ways of the kings of Israel. You have led Judah and the people of Jerusalem to worship other gods, just as the royal family of Ahab did. Also, you have murdered your own brothers. They were members of your own family. They were better men than you are.

but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel and have enticed Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem into whoredom, as the house of Ahab led Israel into whoredom, and also you have killed your brothers, of your father’s house, who were better than you,

Instead, you have been as evil as the kings of Israel. You have led the people of Jerusalem and Judah to worship idols, just as King Ahab did in Israel. And you have even killed your own brothers, men who were better than you.

but have walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, have caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to prostitute themselves like the house of Ahab prostituted itself, and also have killed your brothers, your father’s family, who were better than you,

but have instead followed in the footsteps of the kings of Israel. You encouraged the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem to be unfaithful to the LORD, just as the family of Ahab does in Israel. You also killed your brothers, members of your father’s family, who were better than you.

約蘭登基，鞏固了王位後，就用刀殺了他所有的兄弟和一些以色列首領。

約蘭在猶大的山上修建邱壇，引誘耶路撒冷的居民和猶大人與假神苟合。

暗利的兒子亞哈做耶和華視為惡的事，比以前的諸王更壞。他不但步尼八的兒子耶羅波安的後塵，還娶了西頓王葉巴力的女兒耶洗別為妻，供奉、祭拜巴力。他在撒瑪利亞為巴力建廟，在廟裡為巴力設立祭壇。他還造了亞舍拉神像，所作所為比先前諸王更惹以色列的上帝耶和華發怒。

他與亞哈家一樣步以色列諸王的後塵，因為他娶了亞哈的女兒為妻，做耶和華視為惡的事。

因為以色列不忠貞，我給她休書，把她休掉。她不忠的妹妹猶大卻不害怕，竟也去淫亂。以色列肆意淫亂，拜石頭木頭，玷污了土地。

耶和華對摩西說：「你快要與祖先同眠了。這些百姓將很快在要佔領的土地上與外族人的神明苟合，背棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。

「不可與當地的居民立約，免得他們與自己的神明苟合時邀請你，你就吃他們的祭物，

上帝就這樣使亞比米勒得到了報應，因為他殘殺了自己的七十個兄弟，也讓示劍人因自己的一切惡行而得到了報應。耶路·巴力的兒子約坦的咒詛臨到了他們。

王說：「你就照他的話成全他吧，你要埋葬他，把他濫殺無辜的罪從我和我父親家清除。耶和華要讓他血債血還。因為他背著我父親殺了兩名比他良善正直的人，即尼珥的兒子以色列元帥押尼珥和益帖的兒子猶大元帥亞瑪撒。所以，殺這二人的血債必永遠歸到約押和他後代身上。願耶和華的平安永遠伴隨大衛和他的後代、他的家、他的國。」

約蘭問他：「耶戶，你為平安而來嗎？」耶戶答道：「國中到處都是你母親耶洗別的偶像和邪術，怎能平安呢？」

暗利做耶和華視為惡的事，比以前的諸王更壞。

耶和華說：「你做了什麼事？你弟弟的血從地裡向我哭訴。地張開口從你手上接受了你弟弟的血，你在地上必受咒詛。你種地，地卻不會再為你長出任何東西，你必在地上四處漂泊。」

彼此議論說：「我們一定是在遭報應。從前我們的弟弟苦苦地哀求我們，我們卻不理會，現在這場痛苦臨到我們了。」呂便說：「我不是勸你們不要犯罪害那孩子嗎？你們不聽，現在我們必須償還血債了。」

看啊，耶和華要走出祂的居所，懲罰世上犯罪的人。大地必不再隱藏被殺之人的屍首，必將所流的血顯露出來。

「以人血建城邑，以罪惡造城池的人啊，你們有禍了！
