他們走遍猶大各城，把利未人和以色列的各族長召集到耶路撒冷。

王與以色列的眾首領聽了，就謙卑下來說：「耶和華是公義的。」

便召集祭司和利未人，對他們說：「你們到猶大各城去向所有以色列人徵收銀子，用來作每年整修你們上帝殿的費用。你們要立刻辦理這事。」可是，利未人沒有立刻辦理。

亞哈斯與祖先同眠後，葬在耶路撒冷城中，但沒有葬在以色列的王陵。他兒子希西迦繼位。

耶和華使猶大衰微，因為以色列王亞哈斯在猶大肆無忌憚，悖逆耶和華。

竟去祭拜打敗他的大馬士革人的神明，說：「既然亞蘭王的神明幫助了亞蘭人，我要向這些神明獻祭，以便它們幫助我。」但那些神明導致了他和全體以色列人的滅亡。

民眾把他葬在大衛城的王陵裡，因為他在以色列為上帝和上帝的殿做了美善的事。

約蘭登基，鞏固了王位後，就用刀殺了他所有的兄弟和一些以色列首領。

瑪拿西其他的事、他向上帝的禱告以及先見奉以色列的上帝耶和華的名對他說的話，都記在以色列的列王史上。

自撒母耳先知以來，在以色列從來沒有守過這樣的逾越節，以色列從沒有君王像約西亞、祭司、利未人、所有在場的猶大人和以色列人，以及耶路撒冷的居民這樣守過逾越節。
