然耶和華不欲滅大衛家、因與大衛立約、許以永賜燈光於彼、爰及子孫、

Nevertheless, because of the covenant the Lord had made with David, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David. He had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever.

But the Lord didn’t want to destroy the royal family of David. That’s because the Lord had made a covenant with him. The Lord had promised to keep the lamp of David’s kingdom burning brightly. The Lord had promised that for David and his children after him forever.

Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and since he had promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

But the Lord did not want to destroy David’s dynasty, for he had made a covenant with David and promised that his descendants would continue to rule, shining like a lamp forever.

but for the sake of the covenant the LORD had made with David, he was unwilling to destroy the house of David since the LORD had promised to give a lamp to David and to his sons forever.

以一支派予其子、使我僕大衛、在我前恆有燈光、於我所簡耶路撒冷、即我寄名之所、

迨爾之日已盈、與列祖偕眠、我必立爾所出之裔以嗣爾、鞏固其國、彼將為我名建室、我必固其國位、歷久弗替、我將為其父、彼將為我子、彼若作惡、我必以人之杖、世人之鞭責之、惟我仁慈不離之、如昔奪之於掃羅、即我為爾所棄者、爾家爾國必堅立、爾位必堅定、至於永遠、拿單循此諸言、依此啟示、告大衛、○

然不奪其全國、因我僕大衛、及我所簡之耶路撒冷故、以一支派錫予爾子、○

為我儕挺生拯救之角、於其僕大衛室、

照夫居於幽暗及死蔭者、導我履平康之路、○

曰、我儕其往猶大、擾而破之、立他比勒子為王、主耶和華曰、此謀不立、不成、

為之永存我慈惠、堅定我盟約兮、我必永延其裔、俾其位如天悠久兮、如其子孫違棄我法度、不遵我律例、玷辱我典章、不守我誡命、我必以杖責其愆尤、以鞭懲其罪戾兮、然我之慈惠、不盡追回、我之信實、不忍廢棄、不爽我約、不易我口所出兮、

必為大衛生角、為我受膏者備燈兮、必使其敵蒙羞、彼之冠冕、光輝發越兮、

耶和華云、我所立晝夜之約、如爾曹能廢之、使晝夜失時、則我與我僕大衛所立之約亦可廢、使彼乏嗣以踐其位、事我之祭司利未人、其約亦可廢焉、天象不可勝數、海沙不可勝量、我必如是繁衍我僕大衛之裔、與事我之利未人、耶和華諭耶利米曰、斯民所云、耶和華已棄其所選之二族、其言爾不思之乎、彼若斯篾視我民、以為不復成國、耶和華曰、如我所立晝夜之約可廢、如我未定天地之例、則我遺棄雅各之裔、及我僕大衛之裔、不取大衛之裔、以治亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之後、蓋我必返其俘囚、加以矜恤、

厭惡爾僕之約、褻其冕於地兮、

我家之於上帝、非若是乎、彼與我立永約、諸事堅定、救我之事、及我所望、彼豈不成之乎、

洗魯雅子亞比篩救之、擊殺非利士人、於是大衛僕從誓曰、嗣後爾勿復偕我出戰、恐滅以色列之燈光、○

然耶和華以其僕大衛故、不滅猶大、依其所許、永錫燈光於大衛、爰及子孫、

耶和華以誠誓於大衛、必不反覆、曰我必使爾所生者、居爾位兮、

約蘭王女、亞哈謝妹、祭司耶何耶大妻約示巴於見殺之王子中、竊亞哈謝子約阿施出、與其乳媼藏於寢室、以避亞他利雅、免其被殺、
