Although the Lord sent prophets to the people to bring them back to him, and though they testified against them, they would not listen.

耶和華之僕先知、數奉使告爾、惟爾不傾耳以聽。先知曰、凡爾有眾、當悛厥惡、革其非心、則可恆居於耶和華所賜爾祖及爾之地。

我之選民、宜聽我言、余必施我法度、立我律例、燭照庶民。

爾曹中誰能深思此理、以免後患、

蓋此民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視、耳聽、心悟、遷改而我醫之焉、然爾目有福矣、以其得見也、爾耳有福矣、以其得聞也、

自爾祖出埃及之時、迄於今日、我數遣諸僕先知、訓迪爾眾、爾不傾耳以聽、仍強厥項、較祖尤甚。

我遣僕先知、誨爾諄諄不已、我所痛疾者、爾莫行之、彼不傾耳以聽、焚香服事他上帝、怙惡不悛。

彼乃我之上帝、我儕小民即其所牧之羊兮、上帝曰至於今日、爾願聽從吾言、不剛愎乃心、如昔民之觝觸我、試我於野兮、

曰、不聽摩西及先知、即有死而復生者、其亦不受勸也、

耶和華遣其先知先見者、責以色列猶大二族、曰、當棄惡行、守我禁令禮儀、從我所命諸先知、傳爾列祖之律例、斯民弗聽、強項不馴、不信其上帝耶和華、與列祖無異。昔上帝與列祖立約、斯民背之、棄其所命、違其禮儀、崇事虛無、亦為放誕、四周之異邦人、耶和華曾命、勿效其尤、彼不聽從、反崇信焉、

乃民弗順、違逆乎爾、背爾律例、爾之先知訓迪之、使歸於爾、反為所殺、干爾震怒。

宜傾耳以聽焉、○

我之所云、宜傾耳以聽、歸誠於我。則可得生、我與爾立永約、昔我許大闢、錫以實惠、今將賜汝、

爾有禍乎、蓋先知之墓、爾建之、而爾祖殺之、如是、足徵爾喜祖所為、蓋祖殺先知、爾則建其墓矣、睿智之上帝言曰、我遣先知使徒就彼、見殺有之、窘逐有之、使創世以來、流先知血之罪、將於此代而討焉、即自亞伯之血、至撒加利亞、亡於殿壇間之血、我誠告爾、其罪必於此代討焉、

我有訓言、爾其傾聽、

其列祖之上帝耶和華、矜憫其民、視其殿為貴重、數遣使訓誨之、彼譏上帝之使、藐視其命、侮其先知、干耶和華震怒、不復援手、

乃設譬語眾曰、有人樹葡萄園、租與農夫、而往異地、久之、及期、遣僕就農夫、令輸園中當納之果、農夫扑、使徒反、再遣僕、復扑辱、使徒反、三遣僕、竟傷而逐之、園主曰、我將奈何、不如遣愛子、庶幾見而敬之、農夫見其子、竊議曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業歸我矣、遂逐於園外殺焉、園主將何以處之、
