A man of God came to him, saying,“ O king, don’t let the army of Israel go with you, for Yahweh is not with Israel, with all the children of Ephraim.

But a man of God came to him and said,“ Your Majesty, these troops from Israel must not march with you, for the Lord is not with Israel— not with any of the people of Ephraim.

However, a man of God came to him and said,“ King, do not let Israel’s army go with you, for the LORD is not with Israel— all the Ephraimites.

I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.

But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

“ When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, Then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

So the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold; and he said to them,“ It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Look and behold your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. Children of Israel, don’t fight against Yahweh, the God of your fathers; for you will not prosper.”

Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot.

that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
