But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them,“ Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.

But a prophet of the Lord was there. His name was Oded. When the army returned to Samaria, he went out to meet them. He said to them,“ The Lord is the God of your people. He was very angry with Judah. So he handed them over to you. But you have killed them. Your anger reached all the way to heaven.

But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded, and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria and said to them,“ Behold, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand, but you have killed them in a rage that has reached up to heaven.

But a prophet of Yahweh was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them,“ Behold, because Yahweh, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.

因你向兄弟雅各施暴，你必蒙羞，永被剪除。當陌生人擄掠雅各的財物，當外邦人進入他的城門，為耶路撒冷抽籤分取財物的日子，你竟站在一旁，像與他們同夥。你兄弟遭難的日子，你不該瞪着眼看；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該說狂傲的話。我子民遭災的日子，你不該進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不該瞪着眼看他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不該伸手搶他們的財物。他們遭難的日子，你不該站在岔路口剪除他們逃脫的人，你不該交出他們的倖存者。耶和華的日子臨近萬國；你所做的，人也必向你照樣做，你的報應必歸到自己頭上。你們在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯，萬國必照樣不停地喝，且喝且吞，他們就必歸於無有。

所以耶和華的怒氣向以色列發作，把他們交給美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田的手中。以色列人服事古珊‧利薩田八年。

他對王說：「耶和華如此說：『因你把我決定要消滅的人從你手中放走，所以你的命必代替他的命，你的百姓必代替他的百姓。』」

於是以賽亞先知到希西家王那裏去，對他說：「這些人說了些甚麼？他們從哪裏來見你？」希西家說：「他們從遠方的巴比倫來。」以賽亞說：「他們在你家裏看見了甚麼？」希西家說：「凡我家中所有的，他們都看見了；我財寶中沒有一樣東西不給他們看的。」

他們說：「來，讓我們建造一座城和一座塔，塔頂通天。我們要為自己立名，免得我們分散在全地面上。」

耶和華－他的神將他交在亞蘭王手裏。亞蘭王打敗他，從他擄走了許多人，帶到大馬士革去。神又將他交在以色列王手裏，以色列王向他大行殺戮。

那先知靠近以色列王，對他說：「去吧，你當自強，看清楚，也要知道你所要做的事，因為再過一年，亞蘭王會上來攻擊你。」

「人子啊，因推羅向耶路撒冷說：『啊哈！那眾民之門已經破壞，向我敞開；它既變為廢墟，我必豐盛。』所以，主耶和華如此說：推羅，看哪，我與你為敵，使許多國家湧上攻擊你，如同海洋使波浪湧上一樣。

禍哉！亞述，我怒氣的棍！他們手中的杖是我的惱恨。我要差遣他攻擊褻瀆的國，吩咐他對付我所惱怒的民，搶走擄物，奪取掠物，將他們踐踏，如同街上的泥土一般。然而，這並非他的意念，他的心不是這樣打算；他的心要摧毀，要剪除不少的國家。

因為你所擊打的，他們就迫害；你所擊傷的，他們述說他的愁苦。

我並未坐在享樂人的會中歡樂；因你的手，我就獨自靜坐，你使我滿心憤慨。我的痛苦為何長久不止呢？我的傷痕為何無法可醫，不能痊癒呢？難道你以詭詐待我，像流乾的河道嗎？

猶大王約沙法平安回耶路撒冷，到自己的宮裏。哈拿尼的兒子耶戶先見出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你怎麼可以幫助惡人，愛那恨耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的憤怒臨到你了。

耶和華的怒氣向亞瑪謝發作，差派一個先知去見他，對他說：「這些神明不能救自己的百姓脫離你的手，你為何尋求它們呢？」先知與王說話的時候，王對他說：「難道我們立你作王的謀士嗎？你住口吧！為何要挨打呢？」先知就止住了，卻說：「我知道神已定意要消滅你，因為你行這事，不聽從我的勸戒。」

耶和華說：「你做了甚麼事呢？你弟弟血的聲音從地裏向我哀號。

看哪，一個先知靠近以色列王亞哈，說：「耶和華如此說：『這一大羣人你看見了嗎？看哪，今日我必把他們交在你手裏，你就知道我是耶和華。』」
