有四千人作門口的守衛，又有四千人頌讚耶和華，用大衛造的樂器來頌讚。

示巴尼、約沙法、拿坦業、亞瑪賽、撒迦利雅、比拿亞、以利以謝眾祭司在神的約櫃前吹號。俄別‧以東和耶希亞也是約櫃的守衛。

他們以琴瑟逍遙歌唱，為自己作曲，像大衛一樣；

要用角聲讚美他，鼓瑟彈琴讚美他！擊鼓跳舞讚美他！用絲弦的樂器和簫的聲音讚美他！用大響的鈸讚美他！用高聲的鈸讚美他！

當在新月和滿月－我們過節的日期吹角，

用琴歌頌耶和華，用琴和詩歌的聲音歌頌他！用號筒和角聲，在大君王耶和華面前歡呼！

耶和華肯救我，所以，我們要一生一世在耶和華殿中彈奏我弦樂的歌。

所有歌唱的利未人，亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓，和他們的眾兒子、眾弟兄都穿細麻布衣服，站在祭壇的東邊敲鈸，鼓瑟，彈琴，和他們一起的還有一百二十個吹號的祭司。吹號的、歌唱的都合一齊聲，讚美稱謝耶和華。他們配合號筒、鐃鈸和其他樂器，揚聲讚美耶和華：「耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！」那時，耶和華的殿充滿了雲彩。

亞倫子孫作祭司的要吹這號筒，作為你們世世代代永遠的定例。

七個祭司要拿七個羊角走在約櫃前。到了第七日，你們要圍繞這城七次，祭司也要吹角。羊角聲拖長的時候，你們一聽見角聲，眾百姓要大聲呼喊，城牆就必倒塌，各人要往前直上。」嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，對他們說：「你們抬起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前。」他又對百姓說：「你們向前去圍繞那城，帶兵器的要在耶和華的約櫃前過去。」按照約書亞對百姓所說的，七個祭司拿了七個羊角在耶和華面前過去，他們吹着角，耶和華的約櫃在他們後面跟着。帶兵器的走在吹角的祭司前面，後隊跟着約櫃走，號角繼續在吹。

歌唱的、跳舞的，都要說：「我的泉源都在你裏面。」

比拿雅和雅哈悉二位祭司常在神的約櫃前吹號。

在快樂的日子，節期和初一，獻燔祭與平安祭的時候，你們要吹號筒，在你們的神面前作為紀念。我是耶和華－你們的神。」
