既然你們是無酵的麵，要把舊酵除淨，好使你們成為新團；因為我們逾越節的羔羊－基督已經被殺獻為祭牲了。所以，我們來守這節，不可用舊酵，就是不可用惡毒、邪惡的酵，只用純潔真實的無酵餅。

要宰逾越節的羔羊，將自己分別為聖，為你們的弟兄預備，好遵守耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的話。」

信差從這城跑到那城，傳遍了以法蓮和瑪拿西之地，直到西布倫；那裏的人卻戲笑他們，譏誚他們。然而亞設、瑪拿西、西布倫中也有人謙卑自己，來到耶路撒冷。

你們要吩咐以色列全會眾說：本月初十，各人要按着家庭取羔羊，一家一隻羔羊。若一家的人太少，吃不了一隻羔羊，就要按照人數和隔壁的鄰舍共取一隻；你們要按每人的食量來估算羔羊。你們要從綿羊或山羊中取一隻無殘疾、一歲的公羔羊，要把牠留到本月十四日；那日黃昏的時候，以色列全會眾要把羔羊宰了。他們要取一些血，塗在他們吃羔羊的房屋兩邊的門框上和門楣上。當晚要吃羔羊的肉；要用火烤了，與無酵餅和苦菜一起吃。不可吃生的，或用水煮的，要把羔羊連頭帶腿和內臟用火烤了吃。一點也不可留到早晨；若有留到早晨的，要用火燒了。你們要這樣吃羔羊：腰間束帶，腳上穿鞋，手中拿杖，快快地吃。這是耶和華的逾越。因為那夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地一切頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都擊殺了；我要對埃及所有的神明施行審判。我是耶和華。這血要在你們所住的房屋上作記號；我一見這血，就逾越你們。我擊打埃及地的時候，災殃必不臨到你們身上施行毀滅。」「你們要記念這日，世世代代守這日為耶和華的節日，作為你們永遠的定例。你們要吃無酵餅七日。第一日要把酵從你們各家中除去，因為從第一日到第七日，任何吃有酵之物的，必從以色列中剪除。第一日當有聖會，第七日也當有聖會。在這兩日，任何工作都不可做，只能預備各人的食物，這是惟一可做的工作。你們要守除酵節，因為我在這一日把你們的軍隊從埃及地領出來。所以，你們要世世代代守這日，立為永遠的定例。從正月十四日晚上，直到二十一日晚上，你們要吃無酵餅。在你們各家中，七日之內不可有酵，因為凡吃有酵之物的，無論是寄居的，是本地的，必從以色列的會中剪除。任何有酵的物，你們都不可吃；在你們一切的住處要吃無酵餅。」

全以色列的祭司和利未人都從四方來歸羅波安。

他們所做的使他們不能歸向神，因有淫亂的心在他們裏面；他們不認識耶和華。

有一個神人來見亞瑪謝，對他說：「王啊，不要帶領以色列的軍兵與你同去，因為耶和華不和以色列，和任何以法蓮的子孫同在。

以法蓮哪，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你如押瑪？怎能使你如洗扁？我回心轉意，我的憐憫燃了起來。

你當在那裏，耶和華選擇作為他名居所的地方，從羊羣牛羣中，將逾越節的祭牲獻給耶和華－你的神。這祭牲不可和有酵的東西一起吃。因為你曾匆忙離開埃及地，你要吃無酵餅，就是困苦餅七日，好讓你一生的年日記得你從埃及地出來的那一日。在你全境內，七日不可見到酵母。第一日晚上所獻的肉，一點也不可留到早晨。你不可在耶和華－你神所賜的各城中，任何一座城裏，獻逾越節的祭，只可在那裏，耶和華－你神選擇作為他名居所的地方，在晚上日落的時候，就是你出埃及的時候，獻逾越節的祭。
