犹大王希西迦送给会众一千头公牛和七千只羊，众官员也送给会众一千头公牛和一万只羊，并且很多祭司都已洁净自己。

也按照家谱分给他们的妻子儿女，因为他们诚心洁净自己。

耶和华对摩西说：“你现在回到他们那里，吩咐他们今天和明天要洁净自己，洗净衣服，

“人子啊，你要向以色列人描述所看见的圣殿，让他们思考圣殿的设计，使他们为自己的罪恶而羞愧。他们若为自己的行为感到羞愧，你就把殿的构造、出入口等整个设计，以及殿中的一切律例和法则告诉他们，并且当着他们的面写下来，让他们忠于设计，遵守律例。

他们召集其他利未人一起洁净自己，并遵照王的吩咐和耶和华的命令，进去洁净耶和华的殿。

随后，祭司退出圣所，所有在场的祭司不分班次都已洁净自己。

你接纳你姊妹的时候，会想起自己的所作所为并自觉羞愧。我要将你姊妹赐给你作女儿，我这样做并不是出于我与你所立的约。我要和你立约，使你知道我是耶和华。我要赦免你所有的罪，那时你想起这事会羞愧难当，不敢再开口。这是主耶和华说的。’”
