They killed the Passover lamb on the 14th day of the second month. The priests and Levites were ashamed of how they had lived. They set themselves apart to the Lord. They brought burnt offerings to his temple.

And they slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed, so that they consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.

On the fourteenth day of the second month, one month later than usual, the people slaughtered the Passover lamb. This shamed the priests and Levites, so they purified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Temple of the Lord.

又叫那些親近耶和華的祭司分別為聖，恐怕耶和華忽然擊殺他們。”

猶大王希西家送給會眾公牛一千頭，羊七千隻；眾領袖也送給會眾公牛一千頭，羊一萬隻；並且有很多祭司自潔。

又按照家譜的登記，分給他們的全體的小孩、妻子和兒女，因為他們忠心地自潔成聖。

耶和華對摩西說：“你到人民那裡去，要他們今天明天分別為聖，又要他們洗淨自己的衣服；

“人子啊！你要把這殿指示以色列家，使他們因自己的罪孽而羞愧，又要他們量度殿的尺寸。他們若因自己所行的羞愧，你就要把殿的設計、結構、出入之處，以及一切設計、規條、禮儀、法則，都指示他們，在他們眼前寫下來，使他們遵著殿的一切設計和規條去作。

集合他們的親族，潔淨自己，照著王的吩咐，根據耶和華的命令，進去潔淨耶和華的殿。

眾祭司從聖所裡出來的時候（因為所有在場的祭司，不分班次地全都自潔），

你接納你姊姊和你妹妹回來的時候，你就會想起你所行的，並要自覺慚愧；我要把她們賜給你作女兒，但這並不是出於我與你所立的約。我要堅立我與你所立的約，你就知道我是耶和華，好使你在我赦免你所行的一切時，就會回想，自覺慚愧，並且因你所受的羞辱不再開口。這是主耶和華的宣告。’”
