巴比倫王遣使見希西家詢國中所遇之異跡、斯時主暫離希西家、以試其心、

巴比倫牧伯遣使見希西家、詢其境內所見奇事、上帝離希西家、欲試之、以悉其心、

巴比倫王使臣既至、詢問斯土異跡、時上帝暫不祐希西家以試其心。

But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

The rulers of Babylon sent messengers to him. They asked him about the miraculous sign that had taken place in the land. Then God left Hezekiah to test him. God wanted to know everything in Hezekiah’s heart.

And so in the matter of the envoys of the princes of Babylon, who had been sent to him to inquire about the sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him and to know all that was in his heart.

However, when ambassadors arrived from Babylon to ask about the remarkable events that had taken place in the land, God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and to see what was really in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Even in the matter of the messengers of the rulers of Babylon, who were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land; God left him alone only to test him, so that He might know everything that was in his heart.

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Howbeit in[ the business of] the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was[ done] in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all[ that was] in his heart.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

爾當憶主爾之天主導爾於曠野、歷四十年、使爾自卑、以試驗爾、欲知爾心中如何、能守其誡否、

是事後、天主試亞伯拉罕、呼之曰、亞伯拉罕、對曰、我在此、

其時希西家遘疾瀕死、禱於主、主允之、示以異跡、

又在曠野、以爾祖不識之瑪拿飼爾、使爾自卑、以試驗爾、使爾終必享福、

人見誘、原文作被試下同勿言我為天主所誘、蓋天主不為惡所誘、亦不誘人、

今爾且降之以災、使喪其所有、原文作今爾且伸手擊其所有則必面詛詛或作毀謗爾、主謂撒但曰、凡其所有、悉付於爾手、惟毋加害其身、撒但退於主前、

我為葡萄樹、爾為枝、凡在我內而我在彼內者、則結果繁矣、蓋爾曹離我、則無能為也、

鍊銀者鼎、鍊金者爐、鑒察人心者乃主、

誰能當其涖臨之日、誰能立在其顯現之時、或作彼涖臨之日孰能當之彼顯現之時孰能恆立彼若鍊金之火、漂布之鹼、彼若鍊金之火漂布之鹼原文作彼若鍊金者之火漂布者之鹼彼將坐而鍊人若銀而潔之、潔利未人、鍊之若金若銀、使之以虔敬獻祭於主、

當時巴比倫王巴拉但子米羅達巴拉但、米羅達巴拉但或作比羅達巴拉但聞希西家病愈、遣使致書、餽禮物於希西家、希西家為使者而喜、以其家之寶物、金銀、香品、寶膏、武庫之器械、及府庫中一切所有者、俱使之觀、凡王宮及全國所有者、無一不使之觀、先知以賽亞來見希西家王曰、此人何言、自何而來見爾、希西家曰、來自遠方、即自巴比倫而至者、曰、彼於王宮曾見何物、希西家曰、凡我宮中所有者、彼悉觀之、我府庫中所有者、無一不使之觀、以賽亞謂希西家曰、爾當聽萬有之主之言、其日必至、爾宮中所有之物、與爾列祖所積畜至於今日者、俱被擄至巴比倫、不遺一物、此乃主所言、爾之子孫、由爾所生者、為人所擄、在巴比倫王宮為宦豎、希西家謂以賽亞曰、爾所傳主之言甚善、又曰、又曰或作自思曰我在世之日、仍享平康、遇誠實遇誠實或作不遭變足矣、

我將使三分之一、若投於火中、若投於火中或作如由火中而經鍊之如銀、試之如金、彼籲我名、我必應允、我必曰、彼乃我民、彼必曰、耶和華乃我之天主、

大利拉呼曰、參孫、非利士人來執爾、參孫即寤、自謂我且出、振作精神、如前次然、或作我必脫之而出如前次然而不知主已離之矣、

未愈之先、希西家問以賽亞曰、主使我痊愈、至第三日得上主殿、以何為徵、以賽亞曰、主必應所言、有一事可以為徵、爾欲日影前進十度乎、或後退十度乎、希西家曰、影前進十度、尚為易事、我欲影後退十度、先知以賽亞籲主、主使亞哈斯日晷上前進之影後退十度、○當時巴比倫王巴拉但子比羅達巴拉但比羅達巴拉但或作米羅達巴拉但聞希西家病愈、遣使致書、餽禮物於希西家、希西家聞使者之言、則喜、以其家之寶物、金、銀、香品、寶膏、武庫之器械、及府庫中一切所有者、俱使之觀、凡王宮及全國所有者、無一不使之觀、

求主莫向我掩面、莫震怒驅逐僕人、主曾濟助我、求救我之天主、莫撇離我、莫遺棄我、

主鑒察我、認識我、我坐我起、主皆知曉、主從遠處知我意念、

毋聽其先知或作夢者之言、蓋主爾之天主試爾、欲知爾盡心盡意愛主爾天主否、

使爾被試之信、較之經火煉可壞之金更顯寶貴、迨耶穌基督顯現之時、各得讚美、尊貴榮光、

主必驗所言、有一事可以為徵、主曰、亞哈斯所作之日晷、我必使前進之日影、後退十度、於是前進之日影、果後退十度、○

莫逐我離於主面、莫從我收回主之聖神、求主仍施拯救、使我欣喜、賦畀我樂遵主道之志、

求主依主之應許扶助我、俾我生存、不至失望而羞愧、求主扶持我、我即得救、我常嚮慕主之典章、

主問撒但曰、爾曾諦觀我僕約百否、世無人如彼、篤實正直、敬畏天主、遠離惡事、我聽爾言、無故降災於彼、彼仍持守其善、撒但對主曰、棄皮保皮、棄皮保皮原文作以皮代皮人舍所有、以保生命、今爾且降之以災、傷其肢體、原文作今爾且伸手擊其骨與肉則必面詛詛或作毀謗爾、主謂撒但曰、彼在爾手、惟存其生命、

求天主鑒察我、知我之心思、試鍊我、知我之意念、見我行動有何邪僻、又導我入永生之路、
