And he resolutely set to work and rebuilt all of the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great numbers.

And he strengthened himself, built up all the wall that was broken, raised it up to the towers, and built another wall outside; also he repaired the Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

Hezekiah energetically rebuilt every broken wall. He erected towers and an outer wall, and fortified the terrace of the City of David. He made many weapons and shields.

He took courage, built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, with the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in David’s city, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

大衛住在堡壘裏，給它起名叫大衛城。大衛又從米羅往內，周圍建築。

城被攻破，士兵全都在夜間從靠近王的花園、兩城牆中間的門逃跑。迦勒底人正在四圍攻城，王就往亞拉巴逃去。

示劍所有的居民和全伯‧米羅都聚集在一起，到示劍橡樹旁的柱子那裏，立亞比米勒為王。

亞撒的兒子約沙法接續他作王，奮勇自強，防備以色列。他安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裏，又安置駐軍在猶大地和他父親亞撒所得以法蓮的城鎮中。

他舉手攻擊王是因先前所羅門建造米羅，修補他父親大衛城缺口的這件事。

羅波安的王國穩固，他強盛的時候就離棄耶和華的律法，全以色列都跟從他。

又在猶大各城鎮除掉丘壇和香壇。在他治理下，國中太平。他在猶大建造了幾座堅固城。那些年間，國中太平，沒有戰爭，因為耶和華賜他平安。他對猶大人說：「我們要建造這些城鎮，四圍築牆，蓋城樓，安門，做閂；地仍屬於我們，因為我們尋求耶和華－我們的上帝；我們尋求他，他就賜我們四境平安。」於是他們建造城鎮，諸事亨通。

約阿施的臣僕起來背叛，在下到悉拉路上的米羅宮那裏把他殺了。

烏西雅為全軍預備盾牌、頭盔、鎧甲、槍、弓和甩石的機弦，又在耶路撒冷叫巧匠設計機器，安在城樓和角樓上，用以射箭，投擲大石。烏西雅的名聲傳到遠方，因為他得了非凡的幫助，極其強盛。

第七年，耶何耶大奮勇自強，叫了耶羅罕的兒子亞撒利雅、約哈難的兒子以實瑪利、俄備得的兒子亞撒利雅、亞大雅的兒子瑪西雅，和細基利的兒子以利沙法等眾百夫長，與他們立約。

米烏尼人向烏西雅進貢。他的名聲傳到埃及，因他非常強盛。
