耶和華如此說：「倚靠人，以血肉為膀臂，心中離棄耶和華的，那人該受詛咒！

他說：「猶大眾人、耶路撒冷的居民和約沙法王啊，你們要留心聽，耶和華對你們如此說：『不要因這大軍恐懼驚惶，因為勝敗不在乎你們，而是在乎上帝。

惟有主站在我身邊，加給我力量，使我能把福音完整地傳開，讓所有的外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裏被救出來。

看哪，率領我們的是上帝，又有他的祭司拿號向你們吹出響聲。以色列人哪，不要與耶和華－你們列祖的上帝爭戰，因你們必不能得勝。」

萬軍之耶和華與我們同在，雅各的上帝是我們的避難所！

因為與你們同去的是耶和華－你們的上帝，他要為你們與仇敵作戰，拯救你們。』

清晨，眾人早起往提哥亞的曠野去。出去的時候，約沙法站着說：「猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要聽我說：信靠耶和華－你們的上帝就必站立得穩；信賴他的先知就必亨通。」

人心憂慮，就必沉重；一句良言，使心歡樂。

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的上帝。我必堅固你，幫助你，用我公義的右手扶持你。

「你出去與仇敵作戰，若看見馬匹、戰車，以及比你更多的士兵，不要怕他們，因為領你出埃及地的耶和華－你的上帝與你同在。

孩子們哪，你們是屬上帝的，並且勝過了假先知，因為那在你們裏面的比那在世界上的更大。

有我與你同在，沒有人會下手害你，因為在這城裏有許多屬我的人。」

亞撒呼求耶和華－他的上帝說：「耶和華啊，在強弱之間，惟有你能幫助。耶和華－我們的上帝啊，求你幫助我們，因為我們仰賴你，奉你的名來抵擋這大軍。耶和華啊，你是我們的上帝，不要讓人勝過你。」

恐怕希西家誤導你們說，耶和華必拯救我們。列國的神明有哪一個曾救它本國脫離亞述王的手呢？

萬軍之耶和華與我們同在，雅各的上帝是我們的避難所！（細拉）

約書亞一舉擊敗了這些王，奪了他們的地，因為耶和華－以色列的上帝為以色列作戰。

你有上帝那樣的膀臂嗎？你能像他那樣發雷聲嗎？

現在，不要讓希西家這樣欺騙你們，誘惑你們，也不要相信他，因為沒有一國一邦的神明能救自己的百姓脫離我的手和我祖先的手，你們的上帝也絕不能救你們脫離我的手。』」

願主與你的靈同在！願恩惠與你們同在！

任憑你們籌算甚麼，終必無效；不管你們講定甚麼，總不成立；因為上帝與我們同在。
