He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

Manasseh prayed to him. When he did, the Lord felt sorry for him. He answered his prayer. The Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!

He prayed to him, and the LORD was receptive to his prayer. He granted his request and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that the LORD is God.

He prayed to Him, so He heard his petition and granted his request, and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that Yahweh is God.

And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he[ was] God.

When he prayed to the LORD, the LORD responded to him and answered favorably his cry for mercy. The LORD brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh realized that the LORD is the true God.

He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.

And when they prevailed over them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, for they cried out to God in the battle, and he granted their urgent plea because they trusted in him.

So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.

that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

“ Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

You have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine or strong drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.

then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings,that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man;he keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.“ Man is also rebuked with pain on his bed and with continual strife in his bones,so that his life loathes bread, and his appetite the choicest food.His flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen, and his bones that were not seen stick out.His soul draws near the pit, and his life to those who bring death.If there be for him an angel, a mediator, one of the thousand, to declare to man what is right for him,and he is merciful to him, and says,‘ Deliver him from going down into the pit; I have found a ransom;let his flesh become fresh with youth; let him return to the days of his youthful vigor’;then man prays to God, and he accepts him; he sees his face with a shout of joy, and he restores to man his righteousness.He sings before men and says:‘ I sinned and perverted what was right, and it was not repaid to me.He has redeemed my soul from going down into the pit, and my life shall look upon the light.’“ Behold, God does all these things, twice, three times, with a man,to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be lighted with the light of life.

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem,

For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. SelahI acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

“ Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

And he said,“ Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”And he said to him,“ Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.

The Lord has made himself known; he has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion. Selah

If you return to the Almighty you will be built up; if you remove injustice far from your tents,

At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him,“ What have you done?”

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you, and you will pay your vows.
