以我所諭摩西之命、訓迪以色列族。○

斯邦之民、悖戾誕妄、不從我法、

耶和華萬有之真宰、以色列族之聖主、定律例、立法度、彼蔑棄之、藐視之、故必敗亡、若火之燬稈、若燄之燃蒭、本實必撥、花蕊必謝、

既登國位、必從祭司利未人所存之律法、錄成卷册、存之於側、畢生誦之、則知畏其上帝耶和華、遵其律法、行其禮儀。

耶穌父母、遵主例既竟、歸加利利拿撒勒故鄉、

律例之書、當口誦不輟、晝夜思維、遵行所載、可得坦途、而蒙福祉。

昔司閽之利未人、取金於馬拿西族以法蓮族、以色列遺民、猶大族、便雅憫族、耶路撒冷邑、置於上帝殿、沙番等以金饋祭司長希勒家、

命耶路撒冷民、以利未人祭司、所應得之物賜之、俾其盡心從耶和華律例。

奚必自誇為智、得耶和華之律例、繕寫舛謬、盡成偽例。

亞倫及其子、悉循耶和華命摩西之事而行。

羅波暗國既鞏固、則棄耶和華律例、以色列族眾亦效尤焉。

以上之禮儀典章律法、乃耶和華於西乃山諭摩西、使告以色列族遵行者。

摩西以律法之言、錄之於書、既畢其事、則告舁耶和華法匱之利未人曰、以此律法之書、置於爾上帝耶和華法匱之旁、以為證。

以耶和華之律法為悅、思之維之、夜以繼日。

祭司長希勒家告繕寫沙番曰、我在耶和華殿、得律例之書。希勒家遞書與沙番、沙番讀焉。繕寫沙番復於王曰、王之臣僕、計殿中所有之金、以與統轄耶和華殿之工作。又曰、祭司希勒家以書予我。遂取書陳王、誦於王前。王聞書言、裂其衣、命祭司希勒家、沙番子亞希甘、米該雅子亞革破、繕寫沙番、近臣亞帥亞曰、我得斯書不明厥旨、爾曹往哉、為我及猶大全族之民、諮諏耶和華、蓋我列祖、未從此書所言、干耶和華震怒。祭司希勒家、亞希甘、亞革破、沙番、亞帥亞、咸至耶路撒冷之米士尼、見掌禮服者轄哈孫、特瓦子沙龍妻、先知婦戶勒大、與之語。婦曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、當告遣爾者、我必降災斯土、爰及民人、循猶大王所讀書中之言、因猶大族棄我、焚香奉事他上帝、以其所為干我震怒、故我憾此邑之民、靡有已時。猶大王遣爾、諮諏於我、爾當告以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾既聞斯言、知我譴責此邑、爰其民人、言必使其邑歸於寂寞、其民服於咒詛、爾則中心畏懼、卑以自牧、裂衣泣哭於我前、我許爾所祈、必使爾平康歸墓、然後降災此邑、不使爾目睹、使者聞言反命。

以士喇克誠厥心、學耶和華律例、謹恪遵行、以法度禮儀、示以色列族。
