Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above them, and smashed the Asherah poles and the idols. These he broke to pieces and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

He ordered the altars of the gods that were named Baal to be torn down. Josiah cut to pieces the altars above them that were used for burning incense. He smashed the Asherah poles. He also smashed the statues of other false gods. Josiah broke all of them to pieces. He scattered the pieces over the graves of those who had offered sacrifices to those gods.

And they chopped down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he cut down the incense altars that stood above them. And he broke in pieces the Asherim and the carved and the metal images, and he made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

He ordered that the altars of Baal be demolished and that the incense altars which stood above them be broken down. He also made sure that the Asherah poles, the carved idols, and the cast images were smashed and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

Then in his presence the altars of the Baals were torn down, and he chopped down the shrines that were above them. He shattered the Asherah poles, the carved images, and the cast images, crushed them to dust, and scattered them over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

They tore down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he chopped down the incense altars that were high above them; also he broke in pieces the Asherim, the carved images, and the cast metal images, and ground them to powder, and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and the incense altars which were above them he cut down; and the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images he broke in pieces, and made dust of them and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

And they brake down the altars of the Baalim in his presence; and the sun- images that were on high above them he hewed down; and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strewed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.

Then in his presence the altars of the Baals were torn down, and he chopped down the incense altars that were above them. He shattered the Asherah poles, the carved images, and the cast images, crushed them to dust, and scattered them over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that[ were] on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust[ of them], and strowed[ it] upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.

He ordered the altars of the Baals to be torn down, and broke the incense altars that were above them. He smashed the Asherah poles, idols and images, crushed them up and sprinkled the dust over the tombs of those who had sacrificed to them.

They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence; and he cut down the incense altars that were on high above them. He broke the Asherah poles, the engraved images, and the molten images in pieces, made dust of them, and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

又把他們鑄造的牛犢熔化掉，磨成粉末撒在水面上，叫以色列百姓喝。

我要毀滅你們的邱壇，拆掉你們的香壇，把你們的屍體堆在你們毫無氣息的神像上。我厭惡你們。

王吩咐大祭司希勒迦及其副手和殿門守衛清除耶和華殿裡用來祭拜巴力、亞舍拉及天上萬象的一切器具，將其搬到耶路撒冷城外汲淪溪旁的田野燒掉，又把灰燼帶到伯特利。從前，猶大各王任命祭司在猶大各城和耶路撒冷周圍的邱壇燒香。現在，約西亞除掉那些祭司，又除掉向巴力、日、月、星辰及天上萬象燒香的祭司。他將亞舍拉神像從耶和華的殿裡搬到耶路撒冷城外汲淪溪旁燒掉，磨成灰撒在平民的墳墓上。

你們要燒毀他們的神像，不可貪圖神像上的金銀，不可將那些金銀據為己有，免得你們因此陷入網羅；因為那是你們的上帝耶和華所憎惡的。

將巴力神柱搬出去燒了。他們摧毀了巴力的神柱和廟，把廟當作廁所，至今未變。

他除掉猶大各城邑的邱壇和香壇，那時國中太平。

他重建他父親希西迦拆毀的邱壇，為巴力築造祭壇，製造亞舍拉神像，並祭拜和供奉天上的萬象。

藉此，雅各家的罪惡必得到赦免，他們罪惡被除掉後所結的果實是：打碎假神祭壇的石頭，推倒亞舍拉神像和香壇。

他從耶和華的殿門口除掉猶大各王獻給太陽神的馬匹，這些馬匹在太監拿單·米勒房子旁邊的院子裡。他燒掉了那些獻給太陽神的戰車。他推倒猶大各王在亞哈斯樓頂上建造的祭壇，摧毀瑪拿西在耶和華殿的兩個院子裡所築的祭壇，把它們打碎，把灰丟進汲淪溪。

我焚燒了你們鑄造的罪惡之物——牛犢像，把它磨成細粉，撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

你們要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱，砍下他們的亞舍拉神像，焚燒他們的偶像。

我把他們打得粉碎，如同風中的灰塵；我把他們倒掉，如同街上的泥土。

他拆毀祭壇和亞舍拉神像，把偶像磨成粉末，砍掉以色列境內所有的香壇，然後回到耶路撒冷。

不可叩拜他們的神明，不可供奉它們，也不可效法他們的行為，要徹底拆毀神像，打碎他們的神柱。
