In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,

Josiah went to the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon. He went all the way to Naphtali. He also went to the destroyed places around all those towns.

He did the same thing in the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even as far as Naphtali, and in the regions all around them.

He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali and on their surrounding mountain shrines.

In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their surrounding spaces,

And so he did in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, as far as Naphtali and all around, with axes.

And so did he in the cities of Manasseh and Ephraim and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, in their ruins round about.

He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali and on their surrounding mountain shrines.

And[ so did he] in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.

In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,

He did this in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even to Naphtali, around in their ruins.

Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke in pieces the pillars and cut down the Asherim and broke down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the people of Israel returned to their cities, every man to his possession.

But every one of the Israelites went down to the Philistines to sharpen his plowshare, his mattock, his axe, or his sickle,and the charge was two-thirds of a shekel for the plowshares and for the mattocks, and a third of a shekel for sharpening the axes and for setting the goads.

So the couriers went from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, and as far as Zebulun, but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them.However, some men of Asher, of Manasseh, and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

Moreover, the altar at Bethel, the high place erected by Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, that altar with the high place he pulled down and burned, reducing it to dust. He also burned the Asherah.And as Josiah turned, he saw the tombs there on the mount. And he sent and took the bones out of the tombs and burned them on the altar and defiled it, according to the word of the Lord that the man of God proclaimed, who had predicted these things.Then he said,“ What is that monument that I see?” And the men of the city told him,“ It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and predicted these things that you have done against the altar at Bethel.”And he said,“ Let him be; let no man move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.And Josiah removed all the shrines also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which kings of Israel had made, provoking the Lord to anger. He did to them according to all that he had done at Bethel.And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow.

Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel.

And as for all the hills that used to be hoed with a hoe, you will not come there for fear of briers and thorns, but they will become a place where cattle are let loose and where sheep tread.
