屆亞筆月、必為爾上帝耶和華守逾越節、因於是月之夜、爾上帝耶和華導爾出埃及、必在耶和華所選寄名之處、獻牛羊於爾上帝耶和華、以為逾越之祭、毋食有酵之餅、七日之內、必食無酵餅、即困苦餅、以爾昔出埃及維速、當憶是日、畢生勿忘、七日間、爾四境毋存酵、首日薄暮、所獻祭肉、毋留於明晨、勿於爾上帝耶和華所賜諸邑、獻逾越之祭、惟獻於爾上帝耶和華所選寄名之處、在薄暮日入時、即爾出埃及時也、在爾上帝耶和華所選之處、烹而食之、明晨歸於己幕、六日間、必食無酵餅、越至七日、必有肅會、以事爾上帝耶和華、是日不可操作、○

希西家遣使往以色列及猶大地、並致書於以法蓮瑪拿西人、使之咸至耶路撒冷耶和華室、守逾越節、奉事以色列之上帝耶和華、王與牧伯、及耶路撒冷會眾相議、於二月守逾越節、其不能如期而守之、因自潔之祭司不足、民亦未集於耶路撒冷故也、王與會眾視此為善、遂定命令、普告以色列、自別是巴至但、使至耶路撒冷、守逾越節、奉事以色列之上帝耶和華、蓋民素無多人、循所錄之例而守之、於是郵傳者遵王命、傳王與牧伯之書於以色列、及猶大地、曰、以色列人歟、爾當復歸亞伯拉罕以撒以色列之上帝耶和華、俾其轉向爾曹、脫於亞述王手之遺民、勿效爾列祖及昆弟、彼干犯其列祖之上帝耶和華、上帝棄之、令人驚駭、如爾目擊、勿似爾列祖之強項、當歸順耶和華、入其永別為聖之所、奉事爾上帝耶和華、俾其烈怒離爾、如爾歸耶和華、則爾昆弟子女、必得矜恤於虜之者、再返斯土、蓋爾上帝耶和華仁慈矜憫、爾若歸之、必不轉面弗爾顧也、郵傳者遍行以法蓮瑪拿西境、遞經諸邑、至西布倫、民乃哂而譏之、惟亞設瑪拿西西布倫中、有人自卑、至耶路撒冷、上帝亦感猶大眾、使其一心、遵王與牧伯循耶和華言所命、○二月、民眾集於耶路撒冷、守除酵節、其數甚多、成為大會、眾起、盡除耶路撒冷之壇、及焚香之器、投於汲淪溪、二月十四日、宰逾越節羔、祭司及利未人愧而自潔、攜燔祭入耶和華室、循例各立其所、遵上帝僕摩西之律、祭司由利未人手、受血而沃之、會中人多未自潔、故利未人為不潔者宰逾越節羔、俾為潔於耶和華前、以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫、有多人未自潔、而食逾越節羔、不循所錄之例、希西家為之禱曰、凡人決心尋求其列祖之上帝耶和華、雖未依聖所之潔禮自潔、願善良之耶和華宥之、耶和華允希西家所祈、而宥其民、在耶路撒冷之以色列人、遂大歡樂、守除酵節七日、利未人及祭司、操聲宏之樂器、日頌耶和華、利未人通達耶和華之役事、希西家以善言慰藉之、於是民食節肉、獻酬恩祭、稱謝其列祖之上帝耶和華、凡歷七日、會眾相議更守七日、於是欣然守之、猶大王希西家以牡牛一千、綿羊七千、賜會眾為祭品、牧伯亦賜牡牛一千、綿羊一萬、時、祭司多自潔者、猶大會眾、祭司利未人、與來自以色列地之會眾賓旅、及居猶大之賓旅、皆大欣喜、在耶路撒冷有大樂焉、自以色列王大衛子所羅門時以來、未有若此者也、利未人祭司起、為民祝嘏、其聲蒙上帝垂聽、其禱達於天、上帝之聖所、
