But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.

But God’s people made fun of his messengers. They hated his words. They laughed at his prophets. Finally the Lord’ s great anger was stirred up against his people. Nothing could save them.

看守耶穌的人戲弄他、毆打他，又蒙住他的眼睛問他，說：「你說預言吧！打你的是誰？」

既然我呼喚了，你們拒絕，我伸出了手，沒有人留心，你們忽視了我一切的勸告，也沒有接受我的責備；那麼，你們遭難時，我就譏笑；你們的恐懼臨到時，我就嘲笑——那時，恐懼像風暴那樣臨到，災難像旋風那樣來臨，患難和困苦臨到你們身上。那時，他們將呼求我，我卻不回應；他們將切切尋找我，卻找不到。正是因為他們恨惡知識，沒有選擇敬畏耶和華，沒有接受我的勸告，藐視了我一切的責備，所以他們將吃盡自己行為的果實，飽嘗自己計謀的後果。

他們像宴席上狂妄的譏笑者，向我咬牙切齒。

因此他的災難將突然臨到，他頃刻之間將被摧毀，無法挽回。

神哪，你為什麼永久拋棄了我們呢？為什麼你的怒氣向你牧場的羊群如煙冒出呢？

有哪一位先知，你們的祖先不逼迫呢？他們殺了那些預言那義者要來的先知，現在你們又成為那義者的出賣者和凶手了。

希律和他的軍兵就藐視耶穌，戲弄他，給他披上華麗的衣服，然後把他送回彼拉多那裡。

可是另有些人嘲笑說：「他們被新酒灌醉了！」

要知道，他將被交給外邦人，被戲弄、受凌辱、被人吐唾沫；

因此，那拒絕這吩咐的，不是拒絕人，而是拒絕神——就是將他的聖靈賜給你們的那一位。

他們聽到死人復活的事，雖然有些人嘲笑他，但有些人卻說：「關於此事，我們還要再聽你說！」

另有些人經受了戲弄、鞭打的試煉；還有些人受了捆鎖、監禁的試煉；

愛錢財的法利賽人聽到這一切話，就譏笑耶穌。

『看吧，你們這些好譏誚的人哪！驚奇吧，滅亡吧！因為在你們的時代裡，我要做一件事，就算有人向你們詳細說明，你們也絕不會相信。』」

現在，你們不可再譏諷了，免得捆綁你們的繩索綁得更緊，因為我從主萬軍之耶和華那裡聽到了那註定要臨到全地的滅絕。

你們當歡喜，當快樂，因為你們在天上的報償是大的。要知道，那些人也這樣逼迫了在你們以前的先知們。

士兵們也上前來戲弄他，給他獻上酸酒，

神哪，列國進入了你的繼業，玷汙了你聖潔的殿，使耶路撒冷變為荒堆！他們把你僕人的屍體給了天空的飛鳥為食物，把你忠信者的肉體給了地上的野獸。他們使耶路撒冷四圍血流成河，屍體無人埋葬。我們成了鄰居辱罵的對象，成了周圍人嘲笑和諷刺的對象。耶和華啊，這要到什麼時候呢？你要永久發怒嗎？你的嫉妒要像火那樣燃燒嗎？

「你們當聽另一個比喻：有一個人，是一家的主人，他栽種了一個葡萄園，四面圍上籬笆，裡面挖了一個榨酒池，蓋了一座守望樓，然後把葡萄園租給一些農夫，就出外旅行。當收果子的季節近了，主人就派了奴僕們到那些農夫那裡去收取他的果子。但那些農夫抓住他的奴僕，打了一個，殺了一個，還用石頭砸死一個。主人又派別的奴僕去，比先前的更多，那些農夫也照樣對待他們。後來他差派自己的兒子到他們那裡，說：『他們一定會尊重我的兒子。』「可是那些農夫看見他的兒子，就彼此說：『這是繼承人。來，我們把他殺了，占有他的繼業！』於是他們抓住他，把他扔出葡萄園外，殺了。那麼，葡萄園的主人回來的時候，會怎麼對待那些農夫呢？」他們回答說：「他會狠狠地除滅那些惡人，把葡萄園另租給按時交果子的農夫們。」
