Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that[ pertaineth] unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to[ the place which] David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

Which Shelomith and his brethren[ were] over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.

So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired[ it] for his habitation.This[ is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

Also the Levites[ which were] the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren,[ being] arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same[ is] the city of David.

And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.

Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in[ all] the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

And said unto them, Ye[ are] the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves,[ both] ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto[ the place that] I have prepared for it.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which[ is] the seventh month.And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that[ were] in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him,[ were] with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy[ place, even] under the wings of the cherubims.For the cherubims spread forth[ their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy[ place] before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.[ There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made[ a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy[ place], that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe,[ one] of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and[ before] the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and[ one] taken for Ithamar.
