Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告訴大衛王說：『永恆主為了上帝的櫃的緣故而賜福與俄別以東的家和一切屬他的』；大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將上帝的櫃從俄別以東住宅接上大衛城。

這示羅密和他的弟兄管理分別為聖之物的一切府庫、就是大衛王和眾父系族長、千夫長、百夫長、軍長所分別為聖之物。

以色列人從永恆主的山往前行了三天的路程，永恆主約櫃在他們前面往前行了三天的路程，為他們探覓停息處。

眾人將上帝的櫃抬進去，把它安置在大衛所搭的帳棚中間。他們便在上帝面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

於是大衛和以色列的長老和千夫長都歡歡喜喜地去、從俄別以東的住宅、將永恆主的約櫃接上來。

因為永恆主揀選了錫安，願意它做自己的幕所：他說：『這是我永永遠遠的安居所；我要在這裏坐着為王，因為我中意它。她的糧食我必大大賜福、使它豐盛；她的窮人、我必飽以食物。我必使她的祭司披上拯救；她堅貞之民必大聲歡呼。在那裏我必給大衛生起一個角來；我已為我所膏立的安排了燈光。

那些歌唱的利未人、亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓，跟他們的兒子和族弟兄、全都穿着細麻布的衣服，站在祭壇東邊，拿着響鈸琴瑟；同他們在一起的有一百二十個吹號筒的祭司；

這些人也拈鬮，是跟他們的族弟兄亞倫的子孫並立而拈的，在大衛王面前、在撒督、亞希米勒、父系族長們、連祭司和利未人們面前拈的：眾父系的族長們跟兄弟們並立而拈，沒有分別。

然而大衛卻攻取了錫安的營寨、就是大衛城。

櫃停歇的時候，他總說：『永恆主啊，返回哦！回到以色列的萬萬千千哦！』

這樣、所羅門為永恆主的殿所作的一切工就作完了。所羅門把他父親大衛分別為聖的東西、金銀和一切器皿、都帶了來，安在上帝之殿的府庫中。

大衛召集了以色列眾首領、各族派首領、伺候王的班長、千夫長、百夫長、王和王子們一切活財物和牲畜的管理主任、同太監們勇士們、以及一切有才德的人、都到耶路撒冷來。

『我，我已立我的君王於錫安、我的聖山上。』

永恆主愛錫安城、勝於愛雅各的一切住處。

對他們說：『你們是利未人父系的首長；你們和你們的族弟兄都應當潔淨自己為聖，好將以色列之上帝、永恆主的櫃、接上來到我所給豫備的地方。

那時所羅門將以色列長老、各支派首領，以色列人父系家屬的族長、都召集到耶路撒冷所羅門王那裏，要把永恆主的約櫃從大衛城、就是錫安、接上來。於是以色列眾人、在以他念月、節期中、就是七月、都聚集到所羅門王那裏。以色列眾長老來到了，祭司們便將約櫃抬起來。他們將永恆主的櫃和會棚以及帳棚中一切聖的器具都運上來，是祭司們和利未人們把這一切運上來的。所羅門王和那些會集到他那裏的以色列全會眾都同他在約櫃前宰獻牛羊為祭，多到不能計算、不能數點。祭司們將永恆主的約櫃抬到它的所在、就是內殿、至聖所、兩個基路伯的翅膀下面。基路伯張開它們的翅膀在約櫃的所在之上，以致基路伯在上面將櫃和櫃的杠都遮掩着。那兩枝杠很長；杠頭從聖所、內殿前面、可以看得見，在殿外卻看不見；直到今日、兩枝杠還在那裏。約櫃裏只有兩塊石版，就是以色列人出埃及地以後、永恆主同他們立約的時候、摩西在何烈山所安放在那裏的：除此以外、並無別物。當祭司們從聖所出來的時候，有雲充滿着永恆主的殿；因着那雲的緣故，祭司們都不能站着供職，因為永恆主的榮光充滿着永恆主的殿。

做祕書的利未人拿坦業的兒子示瑪雅在王面前、和首領們跟祭司撒督、亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒、跟祭司和利未人父系家屬的族長面前、記錄下來；屬以利亞撒的有一個父系的家屬被選取了，屬以他瑪的也有一個被選取。
