然上帝豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、不足容爾、況我所建之室乎、

然上帝豈居於地乎、穹蒼不足以居爾、天上明宮亦不足以居爾、況我所建之殿乎。

然天主豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建之殿乎、

“ But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

“ But will God really live on earth with human beings? After all, the heavens can’t hold you. In fact, even the highest heavens can’t hold you. So this temple I’ve built certainly can’t hold you!

“ But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!

“ But will God really live on earth among people? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built!

But will God indeed live on earth with humans? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain you, much less this temple I have built.

“ But will God really dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built!

“ But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!

But will God indeed live on earth with man? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.

“ God does not really live with humankind on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

But who is able to build a temple for him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain him? Who then am I to build a temple for him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before him? (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? (niv)

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (niv)

Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? (niv)

“ The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. (niv)

Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. (niv)

“ How then can I dispute with him? How can I find words to argue with him? (niv)

Now do not let Hezekiah deceive you and mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my predecessors. How much less will your god deliver you from my hand!” (niv)

“ However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:“‘ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? (niv)

how much more those who live in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed more readily than a moth! (niv)

How then can a mortal be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,how much less a mortal, who is but a maggot— a human being, who is only a worm!” (niv)

When you ascended on high, you took many captives; you received gifts from people, even from the rebellious— that you, Lord God, might dwell there. (niv)

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know— God knows. (niv)

“ But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built! (niv)

For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (niv)

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (niv)

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.“ Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. (niv)
