“神果真与世人同住在地上吗？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足你居住的，何况我所建的这殿呢？

然上帝豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、不足容爾、況我所建之室乎、

然上帝豈居於地乎、穹蒼不足以居爾、天上明宮亦不足以居爾、況我所建之殿乎。

然天主豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建之殿乎、

“ But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

“ But will God really live on earth with human beings? After all, the heavens can’t hold you. In fact, even the highest heavens can’t hold you. So this temple I’ve built certainly can’t hold you!

“ But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!

“ But will God really live on earth among people? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built!

“ God does not really live with humankind on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

诸天尚且容纳不下祂，谁能为祂建造殿宇呢？我是谁，怎能为祂建造殿宇？我不过是建个向祂烧香的地方。

耶和华说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳，你们要为我造怎样的殿宇？哪里可作我的安歇之处？

我去哪里可躲开你的灵？我跑到哪里可避开你的面？我若升到天上，你在那里；我若下到阴间，你也在那里。纵使我乘着晨风飞到遥远的海岸居住，就是在那里，你的手必引导我，你大能的手必扶持我。

谁能与我们的上帝耶和华相比？祂坐在至高之处，俯视诸天和大地。

“这位创造宇宙万物的上帝是天地的主宰，并不住在人手建造的庙宇里，

我要住在以色列人中间，做他们的上帝。他们必知道我是他们的上帝耶和华。我带领他们离开埃及，就是为了要住在他们中间。我是他们的上帝耶和华。

“因此，我怎敢与祂辩驳？怎敢措辞与祂理论？

所以，不要让希西迦欺骗、迷惑你们，也不要相信他！任何民族或国家的神明都不能从我和我祖先手中救他的人民，何况你们的上帝呢？’”

“其实至高的上帝并不住人造的殿，祂曾借着先知说，‘天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳，你们要为我造怎样的殿宇？哪里可作我的安歇之处？

更何况源自尘土、住在土造的躯壳里、脆弱如蛾的世人呢？

世人怎能在上帝面前算为义人？妇人所生的怎能纯洁？在祂眼中，月亮算不上明亮，星辰也算不上皎洁，更何况是像蛆一样的人，像虫一样的世人呢？”

你升上高天时，带着许多俘虏；你接受了众人的礼物，甚至叛逆者的礼物。耶和华上帝就住在那里。

我知道一位基督徒在十四年前曾被提到第三层天上，是在肉身之内还是在肉身之外，我不知道，只有上帝知道。

“然而，上帝啊，你真的会住在人间吗？看啊，诸天尚且不够你居住，更何况我建造的这殿呢？

那至高至上、永远长存的圣者说：“我住在至高至圣之处，但我也跟痛悔、谦卑的人同住，使他们心灵振作。

你们虽然邪恶，尚且知道把好东西给儿女，你们的天父岂不更要把好东西赐给求祂的人吗？

耶和华说：“难道人藏起来我就看不见了吗？我岂不是充满天地之间吗？这是耶和华说的。
