『人若得罪了鄰舍，有人叫他用一種咒語來起誓，他來到這殿，在你祭壇前起誓；

如人與同儕有所干犯、至此殿、發誓於壇前、

人若獲罪於人、有人使其在此殿主之祭臺前發誓、

則二人同在、守者指耶和華而誓曰、未嘗取人之物、畜主當諾之、守者毋庸償、

令婦發誓、謂之曰、如爾未私於人、未嘗背夫而行穢事、則願爾免此致詛苦水之害、如爾背夫而行穢事、有私於人、為人所玷、則可發誓、願耶和華使汝見詛於民中、髀消腹鼓、此致詛之苦水、將入汝腸、令汝髀消腹鼓、婦宜曰、阿們、阿們、

如人或聞或知其事、能為其證、既聞召為確證、而不以告、於是有罪、必任厥咎、

爾又云、指壇而誓、則無事、惟指壇上禮物而誓、則當償之、

恐我飽飫、而不識爾、謂耶和華為誰、或貧乏而行竊、褻瀆我上帝之名、○

人若獲罪於鄰、令其發誓、則至此室、在爾壇前發誓、求爾在天垂聽、訊鞫爾僕、惡者罪之、依其所行、報於其首、義者義之、如其義以賞之、
