以利亚与我们是同样性情的人，他恳切地祈求不要下雨，地上就三年六个月没有下雨。他又祷告，天就降下雨来，地就有了出产。

必有许多民族前往，说：“来吧，我们登耶和华的山，到雅各神的殿。他必将他的道指教我们，我们也要行他的路。”因为教诲必出于锡安，耶和华的言语必出于耶路撒冷。

“锡安的民哪，你们要欢喜，要因耶和华—你们的神快乐；因他赏赐你们合宜的秋雨，为你们降下甘霖，秋雨和春雨，和先前一样。

耶和华说：那日我必应允，我必应允天，天必应允地，地必应允五谷、新酒和新的油；这些都必应允在耶斯列身上。

我要使他们和我山冈的四围蒙福；我也必叫时雨落下，使福如甘霖降下。

外邦虚无的神明中有能降雨的吗？天能自降甘霖吗？耶和华—我们的神啊，不是你吗？我们要等候你，因为这一切都是你所造的。

谁敬畏耶和华，耶和华必教导他当选择的道路。

耶和华啊，求你将你的道指示我，将你的路指教我！求你指教我，引导我进入你的真理，因为你是救我的神。我整日等候你。

耶和华如此说：“你们当站在路边察看，寻访古老的路，哪里是完善的道路，就行走在其上；这样，你们自己必找到安息。他们却说：‘我们不走。’

使密云盛满水气，乌云散布闪电。云藉着他的指引游行旋转，在世界的地面上行他一切所吩咐的，或为责罚，或为他的地，或为慈爱，都是他所行的。“约伯啊，侧耳听这话，要站立，思想神奇妙的作为。

愿耶和华—你的神指示我们当走的路，当做的事。”

春雨的季节，你们要向耶和华求雨。耶和华发出雷电，为众人降下大雨，把田园的菜蔬赐给人。

耶和华是良善正直的，因此，他必教导罪人走正路。

他们心里并不说：‘我们应当敬畏耶和华—我们的神；他按时赐雨，就是秋雨和春雨，又为我们定收割的季节。’

“你的百姓若得罪了你，你使天闭塞不下雨；他们若向此处祷告，宣认你的名，因你的惩罚而离开他们的罪，求你在天上垂听，赦免你仆人你百姓以色列的罪，将当行的善道教导他们，并降雨在你的地，就是你赐给你百姓为业之地。

在先知书上写着：‘他们都要蒙神教导。’凡听了父的教导而学习的，都到我这里来。

以利亚对他们说：“拿住巴力的先知，不让任何人逃走！”众人就拿住他们。以利亚带他们到基顺河边，在那里杀了他们。以利亚对亚哈说：“你现在可以上去吃喝，因为有暴雨的响声了。”亚哈就上去吃喝。以利亚上了迦密山顶，屈身在地，把脸伏在两膝之中。他对仆人说：“你上去，向海观看。”仆人就上去观看，说：“没有什么。”以利亚说：“你再去。”如此七次。第七次，仆人说：“看哪，有一小片云从海里上来，好像人的手掌那么大。”以利亚说：“你上去告诉亚哈，当套车下去，免得被雨阻挡。”霎时间，天因风云黑暗，降下大雨。亚哈就坐上车，往耶斯列去了。

你或向左或向右，必听见后边有声音说：“这是正路，要行在其间。”

神啊，你降下大雨；你的产业以色列疲乏的时候，你使他坚固。
