我初不信其言、及我來此、目睹斯事、乃知爾之大智慧、人所告我者猶未及其半、爾過於我所聞之風聲、

我先不信那些话，及至我来亲眼见了，才知道你的大智慧；人所告诉我的，还不到一半；你的实迹越过我所听见的名声。

我本来不信那些话，及至我来亲眼看见了，看哪，人所告诉我的，还不及你丰富智慧的一半，超过我所听见的传闻。

But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.

But I didn’t believe what people were saying. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.

but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.

I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of your great wisdom! It is far beyond what I was told.

其福何其廣、其美何其大、或作其幅何其大其榮何其美佳穀使少者壯健、壯健或作歡呼新酒使幼女亦然、

謂王曰、我在我國、聞爾之事與爾之智慧、其言真實不虛、

有人來自萬邦、聽所羅門智慧之言、天下列王、聞其智慧、皆遣使來朝、

爾女中最美麗者乎、爾之良人、比他良人有何所勝、爾如此切求我、爾之良人、比他良人有何所勝、我之良人、色白而紅、超乎萬人之上、首若精金、髮密纍垂、色黑如鴉、目如溪濱之鴿、以乳洗滌、分列在豐腴之面、腮芬芳如香花畦、如盛以香品之寶盒、唇香如百合花、又彷復滴以沒藥之汁、臂如金管、嵌以黃玉、身如象牙、其色光潤、鑲以藍寶石、腿如華石柱、置於精金座、相貌堂堂如利巴嫩、儀容森森如柏香木、口聲甚雅、總之全然可愛、耶路撒冷眾女乎、我之良人、我之密友若此、

敬畏主者、在世人前倚賴主者、主為其所積蓄所施行之恩惠、何其廣大、

其智慧勝於萬人、勝於以斯拉人以探、與瑪曷子希幔、甲各、達大、其名揚四周之列國、

眾門徒告之曰、我儕已見主矣、多瑪曰、我若不見其手中釘跡、不以指探其釘跡、不以手探其脅、則不信也、越八日、門徒復集於室、多瑪亦偕焉、門已閉、耶穌倏至、立於其中、曰、願爾曹平安、遂謂多瑪曰、伸爾指、探我手、伸爾手、探我脅、毋不信、當信焉、多瑪曰、我主、我天主、耶穌謂之曰、多瑪、爾見我始信、其未見而亦信者、福矣、○

我初不信其言、及我來目睹之、乃知人所告我者、猶未及其半、爾之智慧與爾之福祉、過於我所聞之風聲、

如經載云、天主為愛之者所備之事、目未見、耳未聞、人心亦未念及也、

可愛者乎、我儕今為天主之子、將來如何、尚未顯明、惟知彼顯現之時、我儕必似彼、蓋必見其真體也、
