I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.

Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home!

The Levites obeyed your word and guarded your covenant. They were more loyal to you than to their own parents. They ignored their relatives and did not acknowledge their own children.

Jesus replied,“ But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.
