You are judging by appearances. If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do.

Are they servants of Christ? I’m talking like a madman— I’m a better one: with far more labors, many more imprisonments, far worse beatings, many times near death.

If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, he should recognize that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

What I am saying is this: One of you says,“ I belong to Paul,” or“ I belong to Apollos,” or“ I belong to Cephas,” or“ I belong to Christ.”

since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but powerful among you.

But the LORD said to Samuel,“ Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the LORD sees, for humans see what is visible, but the LORD sees the heart.”

For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart— by the Spirit, not the letter. That person’s praise is not from people but from God.

They do everything to be seen by others: They enlarge their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels.

Since many boast according to the flesh, I will also boast.

For I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin.For I did not receive it from a human source and I was not taught it, but it came by a revelation of Jesus Christ.For you have heard about my former way of life in Judaism: I intensely persecuted God’s church and tried to destroy it.

But we did not give up and submit to these people for even a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would be preserved for you.Now from those recognized as important( what they once were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism)— they added nothing to me.On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter was for the circumcised,since the one at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.When James, Cephas, and John— those recognized as pillars— acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas, agreeing that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!

But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; afterward, at his coming, those who belong to Christ.

I have been a fool; you forced it on me. You ought to have commended me, since I am not in any way inferior to those“ super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.
